How should the Federal Government handle the unvaccinated?

I'm not the one changing goal posts. You don't even know what that term means. I am pointing out your outrage over drug companies and then promoting the same drug companies pushing an anti-parasitic medication you need to take in extremely large dosages when COVID is caught early on to have it make any impact. At the same time, you are denouncing the same drug companies who've developed a vaccine that makes hospitalizations almost non-existent in the vaccinated. Ivermectin gives you a 75% chance to reduce symptoms, the vaccine +96%. Do the math genius.

Which drug company is promoting ivermectin?

Are any companies or health authorities insisting on mandating ivermectin?

Why are you bringing up ivermectin in a discussion about mandatory vaccination?

It's clear what the Democrats want. The end of freedom and only the state to exist in the present and be right. Because the vaccinated can spread it so you need to keep getting your doses and boosters. Now, keep wearing your mask and socially distance. The Democratic way is to lockdown again, close all businesses, schools, churches, forever. No one leaves their house again. Social distancing and masks forever. Everyone jobless, unemployment forever, lifeless. That's the communist party. Dependent citizens. Eventually dead. The Republican party will be dead too. The state will be right and the elitist gov/tech/big pharm shall inherit Earth without population and climate problems.

“We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it.” – George Orwell, 1984

The unvaccinated is code for black people as they are the largest population that are unvaccinated.

Yep!

.... and now New York City is banning 65% of Black People from going to restaurants, movies, coffee shops, plays, sporting events, gyms, etc... but somehow, that's not racist.

Note: 65% of the Black population n NYC is not vaccinated. I support their right to choose.

Because unlike them, I care for my neighbors regardless of their political position or their inability to understand the garbage being fed to them.
Please, for one second consider that the information you are working from has been provided by the largest spenders on advertising in the world.

The fact that you think some ominous “antivax” contingent is out marketing these companies is laughable.

They have the right to mandate it through law. Not through executive order "mandates." This is not how our government works.

Governors have quite a bit of power when it comes to controlling emergencies. Also Republican governors such as De Santis have been using their power to ban vaccine mandates.

You've literally spent this entire thread trashing them.

What are your thoughts on how the unvaccinated should be handled by the federal government, considering the media is doing everything in their power to blame the unvaccinated for the Delta variant.

Im curious to see what everyone thinks.

Well, Federal vaccine mandates are out of the question given how they sped this to market. But Federal, State, and Local governments should do everything they can to encourage vaccinations.

Mandating that businesses do their dirty work is even more absurd. But that cuts both ways. State and Local governments (Florida) should not be banning businesses, school districts and municipalities from taking the precautions they deem appropriate.

The reality is the VAST majority of current COVID hospitalizations and deaths are unvaccinated people. If we did not have pooled medical risk and cost, I'd say 'Fuck 'em' and let them do what they like. But since their stupidity is impacting my wallet, I hope people have the sense to get vaccinated asap.

Just LMAO

“You guys are so selfish, you won’t take these experimental vaccines that are produced by companies with horrendous human rights histories and who have complete immunity from liability!”

Do you guys even hear yourselves?

<JagsKiddingMe>

Yep.

Guy A: Do whatever you want. Go out or stay in. Wear a mask or don't. Get a vaccine or don't. You are free to live your life however you see fit.
Guy B: Vaccines must be mandatory for EVERYONE to save ME! Nobodies kids should be allowed to go to school BECAUSE I MIGHT GET SICK! No one should be able to shop without two masks because I DON'T FEEL SAFE!

Somehow, people think Guy A is being selfish here.

For all you vaccine lovers, how's it working out for you? The government told you if you got your vaccine your life would be normal again. How'd that work out? Now, they're telling you even if you get the vaccine you still must socially distance, still wear a mask, your children must wear a mask all day at school but take it off when they eat (Democratic science).

The licking of the black Nazi boots sure must taste good to you. You got your vaccine and can still catch/spread it, must wear your mask, must socially distance. How's your gov/big pharma life looking now? Back to normal?

On a state level the government has the right to mandate vaccines. This has been proven in court. I'm not sure about on the federal level.
Yes, they do. SCOTUS confirmed. But having the power to do something and using that power are two different things to me. In this case, I don't think the power should be used. I think it causes more harm than good.

The superior option might be coercive without mandating. Before you can handle a government contract, 100% of your employees have to be vaccinated. Before you can send your child to public school, you have to present proof of vaccination. You cannot qualify for certain government business designations or programs without it.

This leaves the choice up to people. If they value being unvaccinated above those other things then don't get vaccinated and don't complain that they lack access either.

It is refreshing to hear people that got vaxxed actually have compassion about peoples choices and not want to mandate vaccinations across the board.

Also refreshing to hear people that have gotten the vax, question the narrative and big push behind mandates when the data isnt there.

You’d think covid was some type of zombie sickness where you go beserk and start biting other people the way the fear mongering wont let up.

Honestly, Im more fearful at the loyal sheep that love the mandated lockdowns and mask and are also fine with hating their own neighbors when they decide to make their own choices.

Part of me feels like Covid was juts the “beta” test model for future protocols on handling “virus” breakouts. They tasted the powers, now they can really unleash whatever agenda they have.

This isn't an emergency. People are living their lives just fine and whoever wants the vaccine can get it. Mayors and governors are not dictators. If you want to do something, pass a law.

Tell that to De Santis

It’s going pretty good! Thanks for asking. Rock a mask out in public which is no biggie, can now visit my family and throw parties with my vaxxed friends without anyone being anxious. None of my friends or family that had health issues or were older are anxious any more and we hang out all the time. No one had any bad reaction to their shots.

we’re feeling good out here!

I’d ask how you were doing but the whole internet rant about nazis makes me think you’re in a pretty bitchy mood.

Its not a beta test for the future. Its happening now. Deaths are the lowest they've been since the start of the pandemic, yet the government is power grabbing more than now ever. Masks are coming back for the vaccinated across the country. Vaccine mandates are here. Again, at a time when the deaths extremely low. If the restrictions aren't coming off now, they never are.

It’s honestly sad what’s happened to lefties. The common sense was not coming more from the right for quite a long time, now it’s not close. The left are mislead shills and get owned in debates like these, and can only resort to name calling and childish measures.

Lets back this up a little, the constitution limits the power of the federal government, specifically the bill of rights places limitations of government and lays out areas of freedom and individual rights.
This huge power grab we’ve seen as of late taking away our liberties is not constitutional, lockdowns, limiting commerce etc. So where does the government get the ability to do any of this?

Have you ever opened a history book in your life? Nothing the government has done during the pandemic comes close to things they have done in the past during national crisis. Power grab my balls.

I don't agree with governors having the right to dictate to private businesses. On either side.

Well they do, regardless of your opinion. Restrictions to these powers would have to be legislated and several states are doing so.

None of these people are medical doctors and none of them are epidemiologists, immunologist, or virologists. Their doctorates mean nothing in this context. Worst of all, they're all Canadian.

Very silly, indeed.
What is your point? I bet you that a mathematician knows how to interpret statistical results better than any medical doctor.
