It takes several weeks for vaccinations to reach full efficacy and provide protection against covid.

Depending on when they were vaccinated, relative to the time of contracting the virus, they may not have seen the benefits of the vaccine.

There are also comorbidities, age etc that could have made those people susceptible to covid.

The data overwhelmingly shows that those in hospital with severe cases of covid are from people who were not vaccinated.

Unless you believe in a coordinated global conspiracy that thinks the vaccines are part of a nefarious plan to control people, there is no reason not to get vaccinated.

I trust scientists and the research community a hell of alot more than political blowhards and conspiracy peddlers.

Listening to people who can't add mixed fractions argue with highly trained scientists about the dangers of the vaccine makes my head hurt.

The vast majority of people cannot readily discern between credible peer reviewed research and information they get from the internet. If YouTube, the news, or facebook are where people are learning about covid, they should probably keep their mouths shut when it comes to the merits of the vaccine.

So I got my vaccine passport today. I had to download an app and scan my proof of two doses. Where I live we can't go in gyms, bars, indoor sports, some restaurants, etc without showing this proof. I can flash this app and live a normal life again.

They are doing this to prevent a nasty 4th wave now that winter is coming. My thoughts are you are free not go get vaccinated, but they are free not to let you in if you aren't. So that's my take.
