If first shooting gets ruled a murder, then second shooting Kyle is no longer defending himself he just killed more people. Like someone jumping a school shooter but them getting killed in the process.

If Kyle is innocent of the first murder, then the 2nd one is clearly self defense on his part as he was a legal self defender, now defending himself against someone armed with a gun and someone who physically accosted him with a skateboard (weapon)

100%. ive never argued any of the details of the second shooting for this exact reason. realistically, the fact that he’s being charged for the first shooting at all should immediately call the second shooting into question as a group of people were trying to stop a killer so he could be jailed and tried in court.

He COULD have avoided all the drama caused by his retardation that compelled him to patrol the streets and simply be at school right now trying to beat up girls with girl punches some more.

It's true that Rittenhouse could have (and should have) avoided what happened that night. But it's a stretch to say that his "retardation" is what caused things to go south.

Had Rittenhouse stayed home, it's pretty likely that Rosenbaum would have just chosen to attack some other armed person that night and something similar would have very likely taken place.

The guy was wound for sound. Violent man with a history of violent assault. Just got out of a mental institution where he'd gone after making attempts on his own life and body slamming his girlfriend. Calls his girlfriend to see if he can come over. She refuses and reminds him of the restraining order against him. So instead he goes to a BLM rally where he yells the N word repeatedly and begs people to shoot him, before chasing down and threatening a young man with an AR.

Anyone who thinks all of that just turns out peachy if Rittenhouse isn't there is pretty naive. Rosenbaum was the wild card that night, not Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse just turned out to be the random guy with a gun who was closest by when things went down.
