If the posters in this thread were judges you all would have the prisons packed. He probably doesn't spend more than 6 months in jail.

Could have killed someone is different than actually killing someone. I don't know what his criminal record is though. He'll get a felony and might not even see jail if he has a decent lawyer. It's just the reality of the situation.

Throwing people in jail for years over stuff like this we'd have to build more prisons because they would be packed.

At first glance I would have said that the guy is 100% at fault, but after watching the interview she was standing in the middle of the escalator (instead of standing on the right to allow people to pass, like civilized people) yet she felt the need to throw some sass when someone predictably brushed by her trying to walk past. She's an asshole. She probably spends all day doing shit like this, then wonders to her friends "Why is drama always finding me?" Bitch, you're the drama. The guy is still at fault for snapping and doing that though; that's not normal. You're not going to last long in civilized society if that amount of frustration is sufficient to make you go violent. Nah it's not about attacking women but kicking people in public is kind of funny in a messed up way to me for some reason. I guess because it's one of those things you see acted out in movies but rarely happens in real life.




The escalator video is worse to be honest. I don't agree with it being attempted murder like some people are claiming but death wasn't completely out of the realm of possibility. That Russian guy kicking women at the park there was no serious threat of injury, he's a weirdo who at worst left people looking at him like wtf? But probably scarred those kids mentally who watched their poor mom get kicked on the ground like that

Correct, which is why I said he could have killed someone and not that he did kill someone. It doesn't merit the same penalty for killing someone but the act of attacking someone in that manner considering the outcome should be taken into the sentence. If I push you unto a highway and a car misses you then that isn't the same as if I push you in the middle of an outdoors basketball court even if its the same outcome that you fell on some pavement.

Courts make examples of people all the time.

Why wouldn't you make an example of a guy caught on camera kicking a women down an escalator? Because jails are too packed? Besides the biggest crime is this asshole walking around with a giant man bun in 2021. That alone should be 6 months.
