Media Henry Cejudo on return to MMA: "I'm after the cheddar, bro"

I have no doubt Cejudo has wanted to come back for some time now. But apparently the UFC/Dana doesn't want him. Otherwise why hasn't it happened yet?

I suspect that he will only get to return to the UFC if they desperately need him as a last minute replacement.
Henry has a contract with the UFC. If he gets in the testing pool and does whatever else requirements they will have to offer him fights.

Yeah man why would a super fight between a former Olympian double champ and the most dominant FW out there today be a great fight.

Some of you guys have oatmeal for brains.

-No one cares about Cejudo he's not a draw.
-He has only 2 fights at 135 and doesn't have any history at 145.
-There's already contenders at 145 the division is not that stale.
-Cejudo is inactive and doesn't plan to defend.
-Volk will wipe the floor with him there's level to this.

No reason to have this fight.

Dana doesn’t like the sound of that. Henry seems to be fairly popular, though. At least as far as the smaller guys go. That should bring him some bargaining power. But Dana is a ruthless business man.

Triple C gets no respect lol….. that being said, he needs to enter the testing pool.

* A couple of weeks from his 35th birthday.
* 18 months since his last fight
* In a division that is lower in the pecking order of popularity

If Cejudo (a brilliant fighter) wants to capitalise on his achievements, he is leaving this very last minute.
I suspect he is up for it but unless he is cash strapped, is willing to just keep himself relevant to make an income (sponsors and the like).
Unless he feels it in his heart and legacy to do some kind of return; the cash is leaking out of the bag, the longer he leaves it.

I'm going to say "Farewell little Henry". I hope retirement treats him well.

Lots of hate for Cejudo here.

I for one would love to see him back in the Octagon. Say what you want about him, but that run of W's over DJ, TJ, Marlon, and Cruz was a phenomenal run to witness. I can't imagine him beating Volk at 145, but Yan/Cejudo at 135 to me is the most interesting BW matchup available. Hope we get to see that one in the near future.

It's funny how all these people keep saying "no one cares about Cejudo, he's not a draw, ect." yet every single one of them would be tuning in if he was back in the Octagon.

Cejudo thinks he is more important than what he truly is. We only know what he is doing because of Zhang and Jones.

If cheese is what he's after then hanging around a rat like Ali is a good idea.

this sounded more funny in my head

Bahahahaha Dana ain't ever gonna ask you to come back, Henry.
Unless it's for the same peanuts you were getting

Will tune in but still not buying the PPV he's in, Shermano. He's no draw, hence, in the mind of the company
