If Brett Rogers who had all the MMA experience of your local bar room brawler was treating him like a tiny man for a round would that look like an elite fighter to you? To be quite honest that was my first chance to see a Fedor fight as it occurred and it made me think Brett Rogers must be great to since he was having a great round against Fedor. Perhaps you have chosen your nice shady spot underneath his nutsack to the point you can’t see that many of us have watched the man fighting for twice as long as your experience of him being great was. This is all his legacy. Not just Pride
Someone had a good round against him? Well that settles, Fedor was never any good.

ROFL Sherdoggers.

Goat HW but I'd favor several ufc talent over him in a hypothetical fight

1) He was one of the most complete HW at that time, and even in todays standards : Great striking, great judo/grappling, great subs. Beat Cro Cop and Nogueira at their game. He had great hips, quicks hands for his size, and he was also explosive. That's why Cormier was called black Fedor, cause he reminded us a lot of him. Pretty flattering comparison.

2) He was entertaining. His plan was to completely kill you with his bare hands. No time for tactical breaks during the fight. He was there to bring it all, even against Cro cop when he was at the center of the ring chasing him like a terminator. He gave us fantastic fights (Rogers, Arlovski, Fujita, Randleman, Cro Cop, Big Nog) to remember.

3) He was not big for a HW. He did not rely on any physical attribute. He was a fleshy 6 ft man who had to rely on his aggressiveness to compensate for the rest. I mean look at the size of his brother compared to his.

Bonus : The fact that he did not care for any trash talk games and antics make him even more likable.

He was a big reason I got totally obsessed with the sport. I think I started going on Sherdog in the midst of that. I got into it yrs before him,but I started to follow his progress. When he entered the tournament in 2004,it was just insane. It seemed like crazy unbelievable stuff would happen in all of his fights. All Love here. Fedor Forever.

Bow to The Last Emperor!

He was instrumental in turning my country into a fascist cesspool with his insane warmongering. He must be proud now that Russian rockets all but destroyed his hometown in a criminal aggression he was so ardently cheering on.
To use an old Sherdog adage, maybe your people, "were never that good."

So we didnt love him when he was around?

Or do you mean we should have stopped loving him, like a trendhopping slut?

What does that even MEAN?
you dont know what nostalgy is? you watched him back in the day and enjoyed his circus fights, thing is instead of growing up and understanding all aspects of mma and how green and amateur his era were, you choose the other route of hugging the nostalgic aura of invincibility of the great fedor
