International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V8

Im not so sure, but my point was that we shouldn’t repeat previous mistakes.

I don't see any mistakes when it came to punishing the Nazis and the Japanese.

Humiliating a potentially powerful adversary may not be smart, when a victory and settlement may suffice.

So you think we should just let Russia take over Ukraine?

Which is why I referred to WW1 and the post war punishment/ humiliation of Germany which led to Hitler.

Yes and that lesson was learned but at the same time the snake came back to bite again so the snake had to be taken out and be changed...just like Russian government has to be changed...however that will be more challenging as unlike in Germany and Japan in ww2 Russia will not likely be invaded , but after WW2 Germany and Japan turned out to be terrific countries once they were "fixed"....Russia however is a different animal...

And what allow Putin to take over Ukraine Like Hitler did in WW2 until people realized that you cant let a mad man just kill 10's of thousands of people take over their country while sitting on your hands....WW2 might have gotten so bad if people like you would have stopped the snake before it bit.
Mmm so no answer on the question and putin is hitler. Clearly youre intellect is too much for me, carry on.

The US will make far more money than whatever is sent to Ukraine.

US arms dealers are going to be floating in mountains of cash, no Russian military company is every going to win a bid against an US arms seller and the fact that this war shows that you can defeat a nuclear power with conventional weapons and good training is the best ad possible.

I expect every single country that has a hot border will order dozens of HIMARS.

You're wasting your time.

The guy is virtue signalling with his fake outrage.

He's not even American, his own profile says he's from the UK, but it doesn't matter because it's not legit.

I haven't seen that guy raising those issues anywhere else.

Like I say, virtue signalling. "But what about" nonsense at it's dumbest.

.

That’s not what I’m saying at all. It’s what’s done when Russia loses this war, which they will in my opinion.

We could discuss whether nuking (Japanese) civilians is an acceptable war tactic, but probably in a new thread.

That ended ww2 and saved more lives then it killed so ya, if you followed that war at all you would know...

Maybe Putin will follow the same logic?

It ended WW2 in Asia Pacific - the war in Europe was over.

That's how it started....It's easy to say "we dont want war" because no one really does...except if Putin would have steam rolled Ukraine what was next ? moldova? ....same thing Hitler did in ww2....nobosy did shit so he just kept going...
Moldova and Georgia had been IMHO long ago scheduled for deNazification....
Then...don't wonder...Austria most likely and after this some next country.....

Exactly like with Hitler....
Initially dreamers had consumed his excuses like " protect german speakers in Sudetia ", " Austria is the same nation as Germany and even doesn't have their own language "....
Then Poland and ....vuala we have germans in Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands and bombs are falling in London....
Add here Hitler's attempts to deNazify North Africa....and USSR ....

Lol wouldn’t he have done that at the beginning? When Russian special ops tried to get to him?

preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.
"prejudice against people from different backgrounds"

He's not using logic or reason to form his opinion. He just knows Zelenskyy (whose surname he can't even spell correctly) is from "the tribe" and hence he isn't a "real" Ukrainian. Even though he's literally the leader of the country by popular democratic vote and is currently fighting hard for its survival...

Your right they must have been very proud of their accomplishments....not even sure how to respond to this one...

I don’t think we are talking about the same thing here. Let me spell it out.

After WW1 Germany was purposefully humiliated - that led to the rise of Hitler

After WW2 the American funded Marshall plan helped Germany reconstruct

Which seems the better choice / outcome

His attempt to avoid using a word or phrase that would get him Dubs was laughably transparent. I'm surprised he just didn't go balls deep and quote from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion:rolleyes:
