He may not be a huge PPV draw. But he is P4P #1 currently and there is increasing interest to see him fight for the LW title. Dana has said he likes the idea, the media is behind it, Volk has pushed for it and most fans seem to expect him to get it. All in all it seems to be trending in that direction for better or worse. I personally think LW contenders deserve a crack first but its not like more people know of Beneil/Fiziev/Gamrot etc. than they know of Volk.

Agreed. I've said it many times before but these guys like Arman will have to take the long and hard road to the title. They'll be fighting guys ranked below them and will have to put together long winning streaks cause they are very hard to market to American crowds.

Arman at least has youth on his side since he is only 25, the others tho are on the wrong side of 30. I don't know, if the UFC keeps trying to screw them, maybe look elsewhere for a paycheck.

Gamrot at least is close to a title, beating Beniel will put him in the top 5 and assuming that he needs to beat some in the top 5 and then title

As far as Volk's opponent, I think it's Yair since Emmett doesn't seem to be Dana's friend, and Yair has a highlight reel the UFC can use.

Idk when Usman/Edwards 3 is gonna happen tbh, but I'm thinking May or June in London like you said.
Also now that more places around the world are allowing full capacity again, I would love for them to come back to Canada soon like @TempleoftheDog mentioned.

They'll probably still use the Apex in 2023, just a bit less compared to 2022. It's pretty cheap and helps the UFC hit their event quota.
Personally I enjoy the big crowds more, that being said the Apex has had some good bangers that were enjoyable and I don't dislike it.

For Volk, he's probably gonna fight Yair on this card even tho Emmett deserves it more.
IMO neither Yair or Emmett earned the next TS however they weren't willing to fight each other to determine a real number one contender and Volk likes to stay active.
The reason I say Yair is because he's more marketable and has a more enjoyable style that will help sell the fight.

You think Gamrot beats Dariush? I tend to think so, wonder if that's Volk's hope too as then there'd be no clear cut number one contender next up at 155 as I'd imagine Gamrot would need at least one more win before a title fight, could then be an outside chance of a 155 pound title fight for Volk in Perth next year. Would much rather see him face the winner of Charles/Islam then likely Yair or maybe Emmett.
