Television SECRET INVASION (Premieres June 21, 2023)

Super Skrull has long been one of my favorite villains and him coming to the MCU would be a huge nerdgasm for me.

Seems inevitable if they do the Fantastic Four even halfway decent enough to build a franchise (unlike the previous iterations). Not only do you already have Skrulls woven into the storyline but he's a villain that you could really make formidable and intimidating. Get the right actor in there (and I have no idea who that would be) and you're set.

has a spy/thriller/winter soldier(goat) vibe to it. Not a bunch of cheesy jokes and cgi overload. That said it’s still on d+ so I won’t get too hyped lol

I like Emilia Clarke so pretty interested to see how she factors in. I had heard rumors of who she was playing but never anything definitive.

Yeah definitely has that Winter Soldier tone to it. I'm just curious how much any of these things are going to factor into the broader storyline. I haven't been a vocal detractor of this current MCU phase (I actually liked Eternals and Black Widow and thought Shang-Chi was a lot of fun), but I definitely don't see any real logical building toward something big in the way that they built up to Avengers and Infinity War in the early 2010s.

Honestly, this looks really good.

I know I was excited for all the recent films (Thor, NWH, Strange 2) but this seriously looks great

Do the skrulls have a way to automatically recognize other skrulls under cover amongst the population? Or do they only know if and when they reveal, if they did not know up front?

now that looks pretty damn good (relative to the other stuff I've seen today).

One thing I like about the Disney+ shows is they each have their own feel.

Since No Way Home, my interest in comicbook movies have hit rock bottom. The only one I've bothered to watch in theaters was The Batman.

So I've began re-collecting old comic book arcs from the 2000s, by winning auctions on Ebay. I just won 13 Hardcovers of The New Avengers and Avengers books written by Brian Michael Bendis for... $100.21 after taxes & shipping.

Going back to a great era of comics to get that itch scratched.

Given track record this ends up being garbage. But the fact SLJ is in it gives some hope it might be decent.

in general I am interested in the Secret Wars movie but no interest in all the movies to get there. Both F4 and X men especially been done to death last 20 years. Marvel needs something fresh characters but it seems there going the opposite.
