oh man.. it's a saying with some truth to it is all. dark complexioned fighters often are less prone to cuts and showing of damage. just watch a bunch of fights and don't cherry pick seeking to discredit the idea, just watch it objectively. some very light skinned fighters have great resiliency as well, it's not without exception, and I really don't know the science for what makes ones tissue more durable or elastic than another's. if its subject of great concern for you, you're welcome to research the science on it and present it back here. I'd be interested so long as its not some racially motivated propaganda topic.

Lame cover-up buddy. You went hyperbole, this guy called you on it, and now YOU'RE the one back-pedaling and claiming "it's just a saying with truth to it. . .of course there are exceptions....ect.," lol, like the exception you were given.

The entire boxing world seems to be panic wrestling at the moment. Having taken years of shit from Ray Mercer knocking out Tim Sylvia from boxing fans I have to say I'm rather enjoying it.
Except mercer flattened a relatively prime big Timmeh while Francis lost a decision 7-3

If you call a loss a win cool

For real, as an MMA fan, this is such a complex story with so many different angles involving UFC-fighter negotiations and relations, MMA LHW-HW and Boxing-MMA crossover narratives, UFC-PFL dynamics, and the personal story of the underdog dirt poor kid with a dream who came from nothing.

Across all of those storylines though it is such an incredble victory for Francis. It's really a cool thing for us MMA fans who follow the sport a bit deeper, and the fact that Francis seems to be such a nice dude, it's just fuckin awesome.

To hate on him for having the guts to make his dream a reality is flat out shitty tbh.
The guy went all in on himself and pulled an ACE on the river.
Can't hate on that if I wanted to.

I say good for Francis, and I'm glad he stuck it directly up Dana's ass sideways lol.

Umm, didn't Tim Sylvia show up 300+ Pounds for that fight? I could be mistaken

It wasn't a sanctioned fight either.

7-3? Fury won by one point.
1 judge had it 96-93 that is 7 rds to 3
Would have been 8 if the kd didn't happen

Heck even aherdog and mmajunkie had it 96-93 fury. Your mma bias and the kd is messing with your judgment

Most MMA fans turned their back on Ngannou saying it was a mistake he left UFC and was scared of Jones. Now that Ngannou has surpassed expectations, the same fans took the opportunity to shit on boxing and turned it into MMA vs boxing fans.

I think boxing needed another star and Ngannou being added to the mix now makes things interesting

No he wasn't 300lbs in 2009. He actually went on a bit of a run after that ko and almost made it back to the ufc

he’s an mma fan who doesn’t realize boxing matches are won by punch stats

In a way they're right.

There was more waiting, and tentativeness, than fighting.

The last two Deontay Wilder fights were epic slugfests, both trying to kill each other, both showing tremendous heart and resolve.

Despite the intrigue of this last fight, it was kind of a snoozefest, where both were holding back, more afraid of getting hit than doing the hitting.

I could watch the last two Wilder fights over and over again. I've watched this fight once more, and that's all I need to see.
