How does the fight go?

No, and I dont really want to see it regardless of the result or how it competitive it is. I want MMA stars to be fighting in MMA and using their star power to draw attention to their own sport, not run off to another one.

I had Fury winning every round but 2, arguably 3. Fury's jab won the fight, but Francis proved that he belonged in there. Frank boxed intelligently and out muscled Fury, which clearly threw Fury off.

I'd like to see Frank vs AJ, I think that is a better fight than Wilder. I think that Wilder would finish Frank relatively quickly, but I could see Frank doing well against the more robotic AJ.
How does a guy who has never been in a professional boxing ring hold his own and arguably win against someone who is a master at the science behind the sport? I don't understand.

It doesn't, but honestly I'd prefer to see more boxers try their hand at MMA. MMA fighters seem less like pussies willing to make the jump, then say boxers who would probably shit their pants getting kicked in the stomach..... which would be hilarious.

Fury peaked when he fought Wilder. He'll never be that good again. His body has become gross and unathletic, worse so than before. He's fought tomato cans since beating Wilder ad bought into his own story and may have a hard time getting back to where he was.
I said in a different thread, Fury is always in close fights, he's reactive to what his opponent does. I admit I thought he'd be more dominant vs Ngannou but I wasn't really all that surprised it was competitive.

Perhaps Fury didn't take him seriously. For a guy who supposedly had a 12 week training camp, he looks soft and mushy. He looked like a regular out of shape person from the audience, as opposed to a high level athlete expecting an easy night.

This is the thing. His body has always been gross and unathletic and even an unprepared pro boxer should make Francis look pedestrian, let alone the current HW champion. How can you not be surprised that it was competitive? Do you remember the way Francis swang at Rozenstruick?

I agree but he looked even worse, very loose, like there was no muscle under there. When he fought Wilder, he may not have been an Adonis, but you could see there was muscle mass there. He looked a lot more sturdy.
I think he beat guys like Whyte and Chisora while half assing it and thought he could just get away with that. I don'tbelieve for a second Fury had a real , proper 12 week training camp. I think he believed he was just that good.

Even with this justification it just does not make sense. How do you see Ngannou vs Whyte or Chisora panning out?

I don't think Francis should be in a hurry to fight anyone else.

I mean Fury is the champ, and Francis basically pulled a Rocky 1 on him.

Francis' stock is really high right now, so why risk that by fighting a guy that's not the champ? The risk/reward isn't there.

I think Francis needs to hold out for a Fury rematch. That's going to be his biggest payday. Unfortunately that Usyk fight might screw things up. This is why you should never agree to your next opponent before you face your current one.

Anyhoo, I think Francis needs to sit in the sidelines and try to get the biggest fight he can, and that will either be a Fury rematch or an Usyk fight, depending on who wins. And that will likely be the end of Francis' boxing career. But he'll walk away with 2 huge paydays rather than 1.

I think Wilder is the worst matchup for Francis tbh of the elite HWs because I don't know how he deals with someone who can likely hit harder than him who has 20 years of experience.

Wilder should fight AJ. Francis should fight Fury/Usyk winner IMO. If Usyk beats Fury he should take one last crack at the HW title which is apparently his dream. If he loses a rematch to the humiliated Fury he will never get another chance. Fighting Usyk post Fury would carry the least risk because if he loses badly well so did Fury. He'll still be able to fight top HWs after that. I'm not sure if that'd be the case if Fury destroys him which would suggest the 1st fight was a fluke and Tyson took it lightly.

He's big, figuratively and literally
