I voted no. As a fan I still wanted Jones/Ngannou + winner fights the new HW division: Aspinall/Pavlovich/Almeida/etc... but it's a good money decision for Ngannou. Might get a fun fight with Wilder.

That doesn't make it a dumb decision however, I do feel you on wanting to watch him stomp more people though.

It gives me great pleasure to know somewhere Dana is sitting glued to his phone reading ALL this shit and seething.

Francis Bless.
That redhead boy hasn't said a WORD today. His silence is hilarious. He'll try to play it off like he's just been busy making deals and is so out of touch with the world of fighting he didn't realize a whole new paradigm is revealing itself. He'll play dumb, and keep his little train rolling while Francis' future income DWARVES his whole roster.

Francis might make more than all UFC champs combined over the next year. This is really laughable stuff.

Any gif of it? Never seen't it.

Ngannou > UFC
Ngannou > Boxing - even though he lost, to do that well while having a 0-0 record is embarrassing for the sport

He was the puppet of the Great Dana for years
That acting like african guerilla general against Stipe was all the Immortal Dana's plan
''Don't lie Stipe don't lie''

Dana White is a manipulative clown...

Congrats to Francis for not being a slave of the UFC and gaining his own financial freedom.

Salute brother!!

Wish more fighters would stand up - like Francis did - for their principles and values.

I had Fury winning every round but 2, arguably 3. Fury's jab won the fight, but Francis proved that he belonged in there. Frank boxed intelligently and out muscled Fury, which clearly threw Fury off.

I'd like to see Frank vs AJ, I think that is a better fight than Wilder. I think that Wilder would finish Frank relatively quickly, but I could see Frank doing well against the more robotic AJ.

I had Francis up by 2 at the final bell, and I'm a Fury fan and a much bigger boxing fan than MMA.

Fury only really had 2-3 rounds where I thought he clearly won, there were a couple "nothing happened rounds" that I scored 10-10 (as one should).

If one gives EVERY close round to Fury, than the decision makes sense.. and that's what I suspect happened in the judging. This is typically how fights are "fixed," and why promoters are so against 10-10 rounds.

He had a few interviews about it, this is the latest one though.

I was really impressed with this. He painted a very fair and accurate image of how the judges could have been influenced without being corrupt, something that is very hard to do. In 2023, I'm used to people just lying outright to protect corrupt practices, so hearing something thoughtful and truthful was disorienting.
