News 3 fights announced for UFC 300

I'm trying to defend the card? It isn't even complete yet for me to defend it. I merely stated those fights weren't bad. Without the card being filled, it's hard to legitimately criticize it.

You're frothing at the mouth at the idea that you have a legitimate opportunity (you don't) to talk shit while you're making a relevant point (you aren't) like the edgelord you are, and instead you look like an idiot. Is normal.
 
Good, its warming up starting from the early prelims, nice.
 
These are good fights but they aren't big legacy fights. No disrespect to the former champs but some of these fights aren't epic enough to be on the main card. It's also bad to put them on the prelims too considering they were former champions not too long ago.

Jiri and Rakic should be fun. They are both strikers and Jiri is chaotic. Jiri and Khalil would be more fun.

Aljo is a super safe fighter. I don't think he will take it to Kattar especially moving up to FW. I think best we can hope is that he gets a quick bookbag win. I rather the promotion book him against Max or even Ortega.

It's a squash fight for Nickal. I can't remember much about Brundage outside of that loss to Nate's training partner and the illegal elbow win.

Basically in a stacked card you would expect the 5 PPV spots plus the TV prelim 'main event' to be big fights.

We now know what 2 of those 6 fights are, and they have been met with the appropriate 'meh'.

UFC 200 had TJ Dillashaw fighting Assuncao on the prelims, not even as the Featured fight, one fight after losing his belt to Cruz. I wouldn't write anything off with this card.

No one knows card placement for these fights and we have no idea what will fill out the card. If it's underwhelming, it'll deserve hate, but all the crap it's getting while missing 10-12 fights is typical of how apprehensive and premature the posting is on the boards at times.

I had a nice big smile on my face remembering the hilarity of people being hyped for UFC 200 and then getting given Miesha Tate main eventing on a piss-mat, not sure where this mouth frothing idea comes from.

I find the prospect of UFC 300 being the fight-card equivalent of Dana announcing dolls quite humorous, even though I would rather a good card.

These 3 fights don't prove or disprove that UFC 300 will be equally underwhelming. But I think they are an early nod to the negative outcome. And they are certainly not the types of announcements to start trotting out shill talking points over.

Nickal taking a step up in competition. Aljo moving up in weight against a solid FW. And Jiri/Rakic look to get back into TS conversations.

I like those fights.
 
Solid fights but nothing that wows me. Not sure what would though. But these could all be prelims for all we know.

Fair enough, but Assuncao was always buried by the UFC. Dude went 7-0 and then 11-1 to start his BW career and never got a title shot. Burying that fight seemed more about him than about TJ.

And they have always had a tendency to randomly bury high-ranked 125-135 midget fights below other random higher weight class crap anway. I think they would see Aljo 145 debut as a bigger deal.

There's no way of knowing whether Kattar vs Aljo will be on the prelims or not imo.
