For the record my package actually came from the UK and it was sent Royal Air Mail. It was handed off to USPS for the final leg of the shipment.

that is kinda on you. if you don't have your own plane (thanks Joe Biden!) then you should have had one of your buddies carry it on their plane

and if you don't have your own plane, I am not sure that you are really paying enough taxes to be complaining about government services

TBH, tax money should go to helping fund USPS. But it doesn’t. They did fine without it. So fine that private mailing services, like Fed Ex, Amazon, etc. use them for the final leg of their shipments in some areas because they don’t deliver there and USPS delivers to every address in the US.

But Louis De Joy has been trying to fuck up USPS as much as possible so that people get frustrated, call for it to be privatized, and then he can cash in.

Pretty sure they are just slow. Had a package set to deliver yesterday. It’s stuck at a sorting facility a state over. That estimated delivery date is a con job. Fed Ex, UPS and especially Amazon have figured out how to get me my shit

USPS had future obligations it would not be able to pay so those obligations were made more affordable by changing the terms and payees.

They are bad but FedEx is worse. I ordered a laptop online and I literally watched my FedEx tracking change to attempted delivery right after I saw the truck drive by and not even slow down. Then 2 days later they claim to do another unsuccessful delivery. I finally get a hold of somebody at FedEx and say I have a camera pointed at my porch, nobody attempted anything, nobody even parked in front of my house. Then they wanted me to drive 20 minutes to their warehouse to pick it up. Finally after bitching about it online they got a driver to call me right before he showed up. If you check out the FedEx Help twitter account its just thousand of horror stories daily about how they fucked up. Everything from lost pets to lost medical devices. Another time I ordered some cable, maybe an HDMI cable, and they left the ripped open, empty package on my porch. Literally just left the trash with no cable.

Are you making an excuse for the USPS giving me bad instructions?

Why should I have to do that work AFTER they told me specifically where to go? If I can't trust the instructions, how can I trust the tracking?

When I was in College for a time I lived in a small home by my school with a few roommates. We had this Puerto Rican Mail Carrier. She was like a hot Rosie Perez. SHe would take her lunch break with us, whoever was home without classes. Eventually I started hitting it for an afternoon delight a few times a week. I hated moving to another house out of her route. I am pro USPS all the way.
