Why is the cut-off point at 3 months? Approximately 240,000 to 3.5 million North Koreans died of famine in the late 90's due to the incompetence and corruption of their government. Couple that with the lack of free press, internet access, freedom of speech, and travel to other countries and you'll see how worse they have it there.

No you're the one not following. Actually if you go up the quoted posts one by one you'll see I'm one of the first in the discussion, and it has always been comparing NK/SK situation to Israel/Gaza. Not merely talking about NK out of the blue without anything to do with the thread topic

Israel-Hamas war: UN centre housing Gazan refugees struck killing nine

At least nine people were killed after tank shelling hit a UN shelter in Khan Younis, its director has said.

Thomas White, the Director of UNRWA Affairs in Gaza, said two tank rounds hit the building that shelters 800 people.

Mr White said that 75 more people were injured, and claimed that aid teams trying to reach the centre were “blocked”.

Doctors Without Borders said its staff were trapped inside Nasser Hospital, along with some 850 patients and thousands of displaced people because the surrounding roads were inaccessible or too dangerous.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said Israeli troops were surrounding their teams inside their headquarters and at Al-Amal hospital.

It comes as the IDF advanced on Khan Younis after encircling the southern city on Tuesday.

In response to questions about the fire at the UN centre, the Israeli military said the wider area was a significant base for Hamas militants.

“Dismantling Hamas’ military framework in western Khan Yunis is the heart of the logic behind the operation,” it said.
