Media Colby Covington finally discloses his most anticipated "X-Ray" images

Hate him or not, that explains why that fight was Colby's most boring one.

It also speaks volumes on Leon's mediocrity that "Chaos" wasn't finished.

Colby is 36 in a couple weeks and hasn't beaten someone who wasn't washed up or terrible since RDA in 2018. His claim to fame is looking great while losing against Usman. We are nearly done this era of 170 and his blistering pace of 1 fight per year isn't gonna ignite any chance of another title shot after going 0-3 in title fights. I love how the people defending him are acting like Leon must've been in his absolute prime with no injuries, they all come in with issues, sometimes severe, and complaining about them or using them as excuses post fight is a losers game.

Did you just say "He has to be active" and "put on a good performance in his next couple fights" in relation to Colby Covington?
In the last 6 years he only has 7 fights total so he has not been active whatsoever. Those 7 fights were:
Interim Title fight, fight, Title fight, fight, Title fight, fight, Title fight.
One fight in 2018, two in 2019, one in each of the following, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023.

More likely scenario is Colby tweets actively and gets an immediate title shot.
Thank for the history lesson I am aware, but listen brother, I didn’t say that’s what’s GOING to happen I just said that’s what HAS to happen. Colby’s stock is at an all time low he isn’t getting another TS unless he performs in the cage after his last fight

"He just has to be active as hell" - why even bother posting that if that's the requirement. His MO is lose a title shot, fight one fight against a gatekeeper in the next year and a half, and trash talk until he gets another TS.

So, no. No more title shots. He's not going to be active as hell, so no more title shots for him. He always loses, and then makes excuses after.
Im thinking he might realize his back is up against the wall now and there’s no more freebies. His stock is at an all time low and he has to build back and he can’t do it this time via twitter and out of the cage antics

I Just read - cos I def won't listen haha - to his little 'im the best' speech on submission radio. Lmao.

People were hating on him and saying the injury was a fake excuse and his performance just sucked and he was washed.

Now that there's proof he was actually injured, losers are saying "yeah he wouldve lost anyway fuck him".

Forum neckbeards are hard to please.

I still think he's done at the absolute top, but since he was injured he might have a few good fights left in the top10

The problem is he's showing up 2 months later with an x-ray. Not very convincing. This is shit he would have gotten that night, at the hospital. But instead of the hospital he was at the post fight press conference, where he said nothing about a broken foot.

Sadly I agree with you as to what he should have to do to Earn a title shot but I sadly if I was running a Vegas Book and had to lay odds on Colby's path to a 5th title shot between these 2 scenarios:

1. Colby strings together 2-3 wins over current top 5 UFC WWs
2. Colby fight no one and weighs in as the back up for Leon vs Belal
3. Colby fights no one and if Belal beats Leon Colby is his first defense

Option 1 is at least 10-1
Option 2 & 3 would be even money.

Option 4 is Colby fights LWs who move up to WW and are a good style match up for him. Poirier, Chandler...Maybe Hooker? He would beg for McGregor of course.

Thats a good point

Newsflash Junior. Combat sports have never functioned like real sports.
Newsflash, genius: just because something isn't perfect doesn't mean it's all equally bad.

That would require a functioning brain and the tiniest amount of realistic self-awareness on his part. I get where you're coming from, but you're making the mistake of trying to put yourself in his situation and think what you'd do as at least a semi-rational human being.

Hasim Rahman got his title shot against Lennox Lewis on the strength of a three fight winning streak which included a guy who doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page and another who’s record was 12-41-4

Reread what I said and stop your bullshit.

Combat sports don’t function like other sports do unless you want to count the tournaments of yesteryear.

Combat sports are not uniformly shitty across all of time. Right now, the UFC is functioning less like a sport than it ever has. Many of us are hoping it will improve.

Nah. I remember when Rampage got a title shot following a controversial split decision over Machida and a tepid non-inspiring unanimous decision over Hamill.

I remember when Frankie Edgar got a Featherweight title shot following two straight losses at Lightweight.

I remember Kenny Florian getting a title shot while on a single fight win streak against Diego Nunes.

Yes, you remember single examples of non-meritorious matchmaking when that wasn't the norm. Now it's the norm. Use your fucking brain.
