Law The Lonestar Rebellion is here. Get onboard or get run over. We will defend America's borders!

The lack of a plan falls squarely on those that rejected this very conservative new policy in favor of absolutely nothing, and did so on account of... nothing. It's not like the hard liners in the House have a plan that "secures" the border in any practicable or realistic way. The only thing they are good for is the extremely bare possibility of passing something so toxic that it stands no chance of ever becoming law at all. But the reason they get away with doing nothing and blaming everyone else is exactly because their voters reward them for it. It's nice to see that explode in their faces so spectacularly. Gets real old.

If you think this bill was "very conservative " you must believe in basically open borders.

Conservatives who authored the immigration part of the bill said it was conservative. House Republicans who arent MAGA goons said it was not only conservative but the most conservative bill they could ever get a legitimate vote on.

Sherfront Bros: "This is the most liberal border bill ever brought up for a vote!!"

It's just so hilarious to see people who constantly scream about the media influencing everyone, fake news, programmed society, get willingly and enthusiastically bamboozled into not having ANY more conservative border policies because their dictator hasnt been installed yet, and blaming everyone else for it.

Yes only allowing 5 thousand a day is "conservative". Then they will "close" the border. How will they close the border then. So even that number is bullshit.

Texas Military Department blocked the Border Patrol from rescuing a mother and her kids that were drowning not to long ago.
They sat back and watched an 8 year old and 10 year old drown.

Fuck the mother, she had a choice. Let her drown. Those kids didn’t have a choice.
Sitting back and watching 2 kids drown, while they easily could have been saved, is sick, vile, twisted, and fucking evil. Preventing someone from rescuing drowning kids is even worse. Those people are no better than pedophiles.
Conservative values!

Apparently Senator Lankford needs to brush up on his bonafides lmao

As soon as what the bill actually does there was backlash and the Republicans that were trying to get away with "we did something about the border" bullshit were called out.

Oh shush, I'd bet my hat you're the type of person who posts this on here and then eats tacos or burritos for lunch. The highest data point of border crossings was 12k, setting a point that's less than half that for the ENTIRE border is more than sensible, logistically speaking. Especially considering how many times Republicans have voted AGAINST further funding for BP with MAGA Mike's brilliant assertion that they actually want to get paid for what they do...which is somehow a statement against them lol

There's no such thing as a Country with ZERO undocumented border crossings, not even North Korea. Hell an American jumped that border pretty publicly and it's a militarized zone. Places where the "wall" (it was a fence) made Coyotès more money, they considered it good business as it tripled their cost per person.

You wanna know how you're being bamboozled? Your Dicktucker-in-Chief never closed the border. U.S., Canada, and Mexico all mutually agreed to slow border activity, not STOP it. They ceased "non-essential" activity during COVID, and that's it. And there still 400k of border crossings during that time as well. It takes the President and an act of Congress to close the border and it never happened because of undocumented border crossings, not once, not in 3 years under your guy, and not entirely during COVID. That's because it's a bullsh*t premise you're being sold by people who wont and can't do it.

"Doing something" =/= bullshit by virtue of it not meeting your imaginary standards. There's a reason the actual border patrol was like hell yeah dawg, pass this shit. It was a huge effort to write this thing, and the GOP drafters of the immigration section put in loads of stuff that you would be cheering for if the marching orders were different.

What the hell would it matter if I like "Mexican" food or not.

I know 0 is not achievable what is is securing the border looking to make it a hell of a lot less the 5 thousand is.

Yes the Republicans have not done what the hell is needed. However it's better then the democrats and their let them come and sanctuary cites.

Trying to sneak some bullshit bill that does nothing to really secure the border and nothing to discourage illegals from coming here.

Once that's done then we can talk about what to do with the ones here as far as citizenship. Then we can talk about if reforms are needed to make it easier to become a citizen.

Unlike you I don't take orders. I call the Republicans out on this especially the e verify and their lack of getting something good passed.

I'm waiting to see if they come out with a counter bill. Which they should and soon.

Again how is 5 thousand a day controlling the border and how the hell are they going to close it when it reaches that number.

it matters because it's always funny how people will gleefully partake in the cultural contributions of people they rail against there being more of here.

The Republicans have "not done what is needed" so hard that the Democrats dont even have to try to make them look comically incompetent, followed by a limp-d*ck effort to impeach an official who is working twice as hard on this issue as they ever would. This bill went exactly how Republicans wanted, until Daddy Trump said "no." You're just carrying water for that. Nothing more.

You're not calling anyone out, you're stamping your foot like a petulant child. There's no counter bill; this is the best the could come up with that stands any chance of actually becoming law... and it wouldn't normally stand any chance of becoming law. Of course, that last part is the crux; when you say "waiting for a counter bill", you mean something so nonsensical that the Dems will reject it, thus satisfying to only real issue here which is assigning partisan blame. According to positions the GOP has had for ages, we could have just made a massive leap in changing border policy to reflect their goals. But I guess not everyone thinks that way.

That's bullshit definition. I have no problem with people coming here and staying legally.

Biden first day in office started reversing all the restrictions Trump put in place and this started this shit show we have now.

All you are doing is deflection.

How is 5 thousand a day securing the border and when it reaches this number how do they stop them. And that's only the first fucked up part of this bill.

If we secure the border and pass e verify I'm for looking for a way to background check and give asylum and a path to citizenship to ileagls that we want to remain. However all that is not feasible until the flow is stopped or cut to as small as possible. It didn't work before and I'll not support it again without a secure border.

And of course your own nebulous definition of "secure" precludes all attempts at any kind of progress, full stop

Look at what happened when Ronald Ragan made the deal for amnesty and securing the border. We never got the secure border. Ragan fucked that up by ever believing the democrats would do anything to secure the border.
