International NATO war with Russia will be unavoidable sadly

This is the downside to everyone having nukes. Without the nuclear threat Russia would have been curbstomped by the west in less than 2 weeks.
i am fascinated by this type of argumentation - the russian army is awful and constantly losing, putler is a deathly ill incompetent, the russian economy is destroyed, yet they are an imminent threat to europe, years away from invading the baltics or poland, and the entire west must shift to war economy to mitigate this threat, even though they could easily destroy the russian army as it is.

Putler is using illegal immigration as a weapon against Europe but immigration to Europe is good.

how do these types of contradictory thoughts exist in the same mind at the same time? it's baffling.

You quoted the reason...nukes. not sure why this is baffling. The reason you are confused regarding immigration is because you have your political blinders on intentionally.

well if nukes are a problem, what does building up regular armies achieve?

Great question. The Ukraine situation gives you a glimpse to that I would guess. If MAD is unacceptable then I guess trench warfare is acceptable. Maybe some expected future wars will be as such...proxy wars.

i think nobody will use nukes and everybody will just do trench and drone warfare until something else appears.

Cyber warfare is always an option. The US and Israel proved how effective (but also dangerous) it can be with Stuxnet

That could work but I imagine the hardening of this type of defense systems is underway everywhere. Soon it might go backwards in tech even. Like manual levers for launch, nothing automated, physical redundancies.

Which is Probably why all these euros are running to NATO...nobody wants to be the next trench warfare site....by the way this is all on Russia...they can't compete so their choice is war

Great point. Consider this further. Ukraine did have nukes and Clinton made them agree to give them up. I wonder if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
It was clearly a bad thing.

And you won't be able to negotiate this in the future.

I'm sure they would if NATO also agreed to back away.

Except that they've repeatedly said they won't. They released a map of what they want of Ukraine, which looks a lot like Ukraine becoming another Gaza.

The war stops tomorrow if Russia returns to the internationally recognized borders and complies with international law.
Why would they give up all of the territory they gained? LOL.

There is no reason for Russia to do this whatsoever.

Ukraine isn't in a position of power to be demanding that. They should concede the eastern provinces and take the L.

Because they can't hold it and they already had close to half a million casualties.

There is no reason for Russia to do this whatsoever.

Except for all that pesky international law. In your own words, why does Russia get a pass? If you're going with might makes right, can the US just kill everyone in Russia and make the same argument you do here.

Fortunately for Ukraine, they aren't filled with cowards who worship russian cock.

Because might makes right? This is exactly why the international community is chipping in to help Ukraine and check Putin's ambitions. The MAGA goons in the House have done a good job blocking aid but when it finally goes through I wouldn't be surprised if it's used to provide Ukraine with even more sophisticated weaponry than we've already been sending.

Just watched this video. Russians got nothing to lose really. They are already sanctioned to extreme although personally I think more can be done. They will be chopping towards West until we snap.

Medvedev is Russian Linday Graham. His positions always go a good bit further than the real Russian position.

Yes he was President but he was a different person back then. He is deeply traumatized from having to deal with Hillary Clinton.

By international community you mean the US, EU, Canada, Australia, Japan and South Korea. Which have about 1 billion of the worlds 8 billion people.

Yes. That's the civilized world.

Meanwhile, China are absolutely laughing at Russia. The country they once looked up to, completely stepping aside and giving them it's position as the number 2 superpower.

Putin's war into Ukraine has really fucked up the global order.

It's a nuclear armed State invading and conquering a NON nuclear armed state.

What's the consequences of this? Nuclear proliferation. Either you join a defensive alliance with those who will use nukes in your defense, or you get your hands on nukes yourself.

So because of this, nuclear holocaust is much more likely.
A former nuclear armed state who gave up their nukes at America's behest because they offered protection.

Americas word is utter dog shit and no country in their right mind should trust them on anything right now.

Hopefully my country re-thinks the military alliance that draws us into their wars.
