No, boxing is also a combat sport. There are no rules in the street. Weapons, multiple attackers, groin shots, to the back of the head, etc. Fury has likely been in lots of actual street fights coming up as a traveller/gypsy in a bareknuckle boxing family.

It's just hilarious how someone can go into a BJJ class, get totally grapple fucked and then say "Well, if it was a real fight i'd punch you" but it's not a fight, you entered a BJJ class. Same thing when mma guys enter a boxing ring, if they do well it's "HAHA boxing is a fraud sport" but if they lose it's "Well if it was a real fight!" when again, you chose to enter the sport of boxing, so you can't complain when the rules you signed up for don't suit you.

In the kickboxing scene we followed Alex Pereira long before mma fans had even heard of him, he had no takedown defense at all, and yet he's owning your "real fight" sport with nothing but hooks and leg kicks. But it's true. Your current MW champ Strickland and Jiri who hadn't been beaten "in a real fight" in 7 years, lost to a kickboxer who got bored and moved to mma, am i wrong?
