The border is definitely the republican’s best issue, and they should hammer it. But they’ve been complicit to a lot of the problems.

They'll be blamed now because they're playing politics. Obviously Democrats "now" want to top priority the border for political reasons but had opposite energy in 2020 and 2021, just like the Republicans don't want them to get credit for any fixes in election season right now. Not too different than when Trump wanted to do wall/border stuff and they fought against him because it would have made it look like he was addressing something. It's all for points and very little for actually us lol.

Trump literally ducked the debate last time when Biden was surprisingly (to me at least) willing, he has no credibility to call anyone out.

I think last go around Trump thought he wouldn’t gain much by debating him again, he truly thought he was a lock to win. Which turned out to be a mistake.

It’s all very annoying. Maybe if politicians didn’t spend half of their time campaigning to keep their jobs they’d actually do stuff once in a while.
