Elections Mike Pence Says He Can’t Endorse Trump In ‘Good Conscience’

y'all have time to post on sherdog after an insurrectionist leftist SENATOR just called for mostly peaceful riots over a pro-police bill? get out there and kneel, and those feet ain't gonna wash themselves.

Somewhere, deep in the furthest reaches of your mind, there HAS to be some level of awareness that you're a deeply unserious person right?

just about every establishment swamp creature who's interested in growing the american empire at the expense of taxpayers is shitting on trump because he threatens their gravy train.
Trump expanded the military budget to record highs, every single year he was in office. You literally exist in a make believe fantasy land, where not a single thing that you say or believe, has grounding in reality and fact.

Fixed, no charge. ;)
Haha, I watched Eras on Friday. Never thought I would end up a Swifty but she's a role model for young women with all the charity donations and making her road crew rich out of the blue with bonuses, and adding billions to the economy. The fact that The Mandarin Molester is shit scared of her is just an added extra.

Oh and the MAGA twats saying The Superbowl was fixed was hilarious.

In be4 the next Trump thead about blood bath

Yeah, it's a hoax deep state conspiracy when Trump repeatedly uses the word "blood bath" to refer to the consequences of him losing in 2024, and the media reports that he's saying that. Hoaxes are when the media reports things that actually happened. Any other fun memes cult boy?

An establishment politician rejecting Trump may as well be an endorsement. A big reason why Trump won in the first place is due increasing distrust in the political establishment.

I feel like it is deeper. Like 25% of voters/Trump supporters seemed brainwashed or brain dead, I can't decide which.
But why would they be? I think if you are convinced that all other news is deliberately lying to you, and you can only believe what you see on Fox/Breitbart/OAN/Newsmax or even crazier sites, it makes sense that you just go along with the cult. And remember that a majority of Republicans are creationists. That entails not just crazy views about the natural world but a belief that all scientific institutions and news that uses them as sources are corrupt or really stupid. It means faith overrides any sense of reason and no conspiracy is too big to be plausible. That makes it extremely easy to fall for someone like Trump. Climate change denialism is another part of the path (I think for most it goes creationism==>climate change denial==>all the media is hoaxing you==> whatever crazy shit that Republican-aligned media feeds you is at least as credible as "the official story" about anything).

While it is true that there's a correlation with intelligence, it is certainly possible for someone with above-average or even well-above-average intelligence to fall into something like that because people inevitably rely on trust on some level. No one is rediscovering all principles of nature on their own.

Do people not think that skill and competence are required in politics? Is giving the most powerful position in the world to someone with absolutely no experience really a good idea?

Many people don't think our current crop of politicians are particularly skilled or competent. Nor do they think that they're autonomous or acting in good faith. It's hard to disagree at this point. That's not to say that Trump is the savior or even the answer, but our corrupt political class is doing a pretty good job of destroying the country even without his help

I worked for a religious American guy from Minnesota who convinced me to attend a church BBQ, I figured what the hell, church people were generally good people in my experience.

My boss, who had been really keen on my attending, was actually trying to set me up with a girl from his congregation who was almost twenty years younger than me. The girl knew I was coming because they had discussed it but when I got there she told me not to worry about what they wanted, she wasn't "crazy like them" and was just playing along until she moved out of the city for university.

The day was actually pretty chill, everyone was incredibly friendly until someone brought up the "evolution conspiracy" and the conversation got really dark. I politely excused myself and got the hell out of dodge.

My boss told me they were non-denominational so I have no idea what kind of church they were, but I had never seen anything like it.

I'm no fan of Biden but he's a pretty competent bureaucrat.

I think all politicians spend the majority of their time fundraising and serving corporate interests, but I don't see why an infamous grifter like Trump would be an improvement. He was literally convicted of fraud and money laundering.

I'm a leftist not a liberal and keep saying Democrats are only as good as Republicans make them be, which isn't very good. The left doesn't really have much of a voice in American politics.

It's Taylor's world. We just live in it. ;)

The fact that "super conservative henchmen-like characters look at him with disdain and suspicion" gives me more reason to vote for him. Same goes with the established politicians on the left. Fuck all of those pieces of shit. Vote Trump just to piss them off.

Yeah that fascism sure will show them!!

Man, this brought back memories from being made to attend Churches as a kid and all the weird sh*t you hear them say to convince themselves they know things everyone else doesnt. Like that football player from Texas who recently said because of his religion he doesnt believe in space and other planets, he probably thinks telescopes are some kind of Satanic device.

One of my favorite documentaries is the Marjoe Gortner one where he exposed that many religious leaders are blatantly charlatans and are doing it on purpose for the money and power:

Does anyone care about what Pence has to say about anything?

Are you under the impression that Pence has no influence...specifically in the world of Evangelicals, moderate Republican voters, and independents who lean right? I mean, he should never have any influence at all if you ask me, and I oppose him on almost every level...but do you genuinely think he doesn't?

I believe he will absolutely vote for Trump himself when push comes to shove, because he's too partisan not to. But him making a public statement is meant to cause ripples.

We have Tim Scott to take his place where the evangelicals wanted to hang Pence for doing his job. And Tim is so far up Trump's ass they'll willingly believe everything he says.

I didn't mind Pence, he'd had his place in government for so many years he was the steady hand to do his best with wacko Trump who had never done the job. I may have even voted for him as president if he had more gumption as a candidate.
