Law Airport executive shot in firefight with federal agents at his home in Arkansas

Good fucking lord, when did the Left decide to embrace Authoritarian policies by the Federal Government.

Ellsworth quoted a letter sent to him just before the trial was scheduled and signed by Weaver's wife as saying, "Whether we live or whether we die, we will not bow to your evil commandments."

Laced with phrases like "war is open upon the land," and "the tyrants' blood will flow," the letter was interpreted by Ellsworth as a threat, he testified. The Weavers have been associated with the Christian Identity Movement, which combines Old Testament and white-separatist views. He turned the letter over to federal investigators.

It seems to me that they were not going to heed any warrant whatsoever.

And whether you like it or not, there is an educated opinion part to this based on previous actions of the ATF.

LEOs fuck up all the time.

Taking a "defund the police" and "he didn't do nuthing" attitudes as a result is poor judgment on your part.

We don't even know what went down, yet someone people want to blame LEOs despite the fact that they were shot at first.

Sigh. They're at his house before 6am. They can wait and watch for him to come outside and get ready to leave for work with less risk than barging in at 6am. Read the rest of thread before proclaiming someone is stupid next time.
Sure, when theres a possibility he is armed, and there is neighbors outside cutting their lawn or getting in their cars to head to work. That makes sense.

It's a fair fucking question. Just casually go to his office, hand him the warrant, done and done. For some reason they decided to go to his house at the ass crack of dawn (instead of waiting for when he isn't home) to break down the door. Smells 100% like the usual level of ATF stupidity.
I'm glad after their UFC gig ended, ex-USADA agents were able to bounce back.

They definitely goofed up in this situation. Try barging into someone's house at 6am and see if you get shot at.

Which situation screams shootout more to you? Thinking your home was being attacked at 6am by a home invader or a large police present showing up as you open the garage door to leave for work?

The only time they bust a door down and rush in is when they know the suspect is armed and dangerous. Anything else and they knock on the door and let the suspect know they are police and its a raid. They apparently made the right call because the suspect was in fact armed and dangerous.

Much like the Louisville police that barged into Breonna Taylor's apartment at 1 am in the morning without knocking?

Yes, exactly... But she was associated with a drug dealer who had murdered man in a car she rented, but the other man with her (boyfriend) was innocent and caught in the crossfire. Fortunately he was exonerated.

"The attempted murder charges against him for shooting the officer were dismissed in 2021, and he received a $2 million dollar settlement from the city last year.

The poor new boyfriend got caught up with a hood rat. At least the charges were dropped and he got paid.

We don't know if they "barged in" and we also don't know the cause of the search warrant either.
You would think that they would have stated what the search warrant was for by now. With them not saying and how it all went down, it was probably child related.

I dunno. The fact that it was the ATF, and he is an Airport executive sounds like it could be terrorist related.

That could be too but he seems like a clean cut old white guy. It is very odd how they are so tight lipped but I guess since he is going to die they need to keep it all secret for now just in case.

Article also points they were shot from "inside the house" that kind of implies they were outside of the house wouldn't it?

So because he is an old clean cut white guy, you jump to pedophile?

Good point. That kind of goes with what i was saying that they probably banged on the door letting him know they were police and it was a raid.
