Social The American Society of Magical Negroes. Leftist racism on full display.

I was told by people on this forum that anti white racism wasn't really a thing or a big deal. So explain how a movie like this gets made? The trailer for this movie has the following line,

What's the most dangerous animal on the planet? The answer? White people.

You probably have multiple family members drowning in medical debt, but this is what you get outraged about.

Parodies, by and large, are not well reviewed. Robinhood Men in Tights was a fantastic parody, with plenty of racial humour. And it sits at a mediocre 6.7. So it stands to reason that one that is subpar would be rated lower. Doesn't mean it's the pinnacle of woke garbage, it just might be a less than stellar movie.

That's why I asked if you had seen it. I honestly don't know how much the movie is littered with woke garbage, or how much of it might be satire. We're basically having a conversation about a trailer and an IMDB score. The rotten tomatoes score of 28% would tend to support the bad movie angle. But the flip side would be the audience score which was 64%. I honestly don't know on this one.

I’m gonna pass on this one. The whole white people are the most dangerous animal comments makes me want to drop them in a pit of vipers and hippopotamuses. It might be parody, but the reverse comment would never be allowed in todays society

Hated Get Out, didn't hate Us, Nope was alright. Candyman wasn't as wokely annoying as I thought it'd be, was okay.
Gonna go watch Monkey Man next weekend.

What's the sunken place movie???

Get out. Couldn’t remember name and didn’t care to look it up. And surprisingly, the plot of get out didn’t bother me that much, I just didn’t think the hype was deserved or the accolades

I found some of the examples of this trope to be very unconvincing. One of the most repeated examples was the Green Mile which I found really strange. I never once thought of him as a secondary character. The story wouldn't exist without him! There was nothing else interesting in the movie. It was about how special he is, how he got there, and what would happen to him.
Consider Morgan Freeman's roles.

I'm gonna get you Sucka was one of my favorite films growing up...The Rib Scene with Chris Rock and Isaac Hayes still cracks me up
The sex scene, cracks me up every time.
WARNING
No Nudity but may not be safe for work.

Did anyone watch that trailer and think it would be a good movie? I certainly hope not.

That said, I'm not going to sit and here and pretend that it's "wokeness" that leads to Hollywood releasing hot trash movies since they've done that quite well for decades.

Does anyone remember the movie "Wing Commander"? I skipped school once to see it. Absolute worst movie I've ever seen and that had nothing to do with wokeness. I still reference that movie as proof that Hollywood frequently churns out crap no matter who the audience might be.

For an all black movie to get such low marks, it must be Freddie got fingered or Jack and Jill bad.

Personally, I absolutely hated peele’s movies that they rave about. The one about the sunken place(can’t think of name) is ranked among best horror movies ever now? Seriously? And us was total garbage. Didn’t watch nope.

While weird, Nope is a pretty solid Monster movie.

Us was fucking terrible. That's the underground one. Just a dumpster pile of a movie. Easily the worst one of his that I've seen.

Get Out was pretty good. Nope was probably the best out of the bunch tbh.

The first line in the trailer:

What is the most dangerous creature on earth?

Uhhmmm. A shark?

No. A white person.

_________

I shall not devote a click to support such trash.
It already told me what it is.

Rating is already 2.6/10 so society has spoken.

I'm all set.

You should see the like to dislike ratio:

Why are you implying that multiple things can't bother me? Solving world hunger is more important to fix than anti white racism.

Everyone has a fixed amount of time and energy. Focusing on inane inconsequential outrage bait instead of actual material harm being done to actual people, seems like a total mismanagement of priorities.

I may yet give that one a try. I agree us was terrible. I didn’t hate get out, but I never need to see it again. I disagree with all the hype surrounding it and its anti-white messaging, which liberal white critics said was the smartest scary movie of the century. It wasn’t.

I can address many things big and small as most people do. It would be great if racism wasn't an issue at all anymore.

I paid real dollars to see battlefield earth. I never forgave the friend who suggested it.

At this point, I don't even think it's possible to make a ground breaking movie.

I've always been a movie buff and I don't really care what any movie is about, if it's supposed to be half decent, I'll watch it.

Us was just garbage on every front. Plot sucked, characters were dumb, and the idea in general was just retarded lol. Everything Jordan Peele has made has been overrated tbh.

Nope was a big jump up in quality. Awesome production values, decent story, and weird shit with a monkey. Nope isn't anything groundbreaking or earth shattering, but it's hard to find a good monster movie these days and it's certainly one of the better ones in recent memory that I can recall. On my scale I'd give it a solid 7/10.
