I'm usually a Hill defender because I think he's pretty good but let's be honest here: the last four guys he beat were already coming off of a loss. And he's never fought a good striker.
Poatan's defense could be better but he's going to give Hill a lot of problems. And, you know, he's a good striker. Something new for Hill.

Izzy has KO’d a few decent names in the UFC. So trying to downplay Izzy, to make Alex’s wins look like no big deal is just lame.

As of right now I’d say he’s vastly overrated. It goes without saying that he has been given VERY favourable matchups, and LHW is so incredibly poor that the likes of Glover/Jan became champ. Still, he’s a very talented striker and fighter, but his fan base disgust me.

If you want to call him a mediocre kicker, you would be one thousand percent correct. You want to say his footwork is dodgy and his defense is mediocre? Once again, couldn't agree more. But his ability to stay upright, see openings and take advantage of them is second to none right now, and he has stupid punching power. You know who else had shit kicks, a mediocre defense(or one that's easy to pick apart at least) and still had wild success due to great timing, vision and punching power? Conor. Liddell. JDS. There's a list of former champions with those exact attributes. Sometimes that's all it takes.

He beat Strickland, who was good enough to be a champion, in two rounds, ended Adesanya’s winning streak, beat Blachowicz, a former champ, and stopped Prochazka, a proven finisher. That sounds like a gauntlet of murderers, rather than the right fights at the right time…
