Media Dana White releases new self loving me vs the media video.

The "MMA Media" if that's even a single entity, did produce hundreds of hours of content and presumably many many clicks/views bemoaning UFC 300 before and then the same afterwards praising it. Plus there will be even more responding to this video with indignation. The cycle continues.

The effort Dana goes to gloat with these videos is pretty funny though. Mate, the UFC has already won, you don't need to do this.

Dana has been dealing with the easiest most pushover media in all of sports. It's hilarious that they still bother him. Imagine Dana having to deal with real journalists who don't have to beg for press passes.
The MMA media, at least the ones that the UFC gives access to, are just UFC stenographers at this point. The only thing missing is giving them a UFC contract or directly employing them.

They don't even qualify as journalists imo. They are just a promotional tool for Dana and he still shits on them. The closest thing MMA has to a journalist is Ariel Helwani. And I don't even think he's particularly good, just the only one willing to not shill for them at times.

I remember during the 300 post fight press conference someone had the balls to float Cyborg as a potential opponent for Kayla Harrison and the entire rest of the room erupted in laughter. Dana just immediately moved on to the next person.

So did the fans, acting like people werent shitting on Weili vs Yan and even Max vs Justin ( we even have a thread here calling the fight useless) or dissapointed with the main event we end up getting is silly, it wasn't just the media.

Hell the fans were the ones that came up the the whole oil thing.

Or when Dana announced McGregor Vs Chandler and the room erupted in cheers like he announced the killing of Bin Laden lol

I know cheering for an anticipated matchup is not the worst thing they can do but it was so embarrassing. Literally no one in that whole room has a critical thing to say about the UFC, matchmaking, or the fight game in general, and its by design.

Why is Dana taking credit for 300? That was 100% the fighters

Exactly. The fighters were headed to T-Mobile arena to hang out anyways. The arena was empty and the staff was going to put up the cage for a fun roll. The cameras were left on from the Knights game the night before. Then pay fell from the arena rafters.

They actually hate Luke lol, they never put him on these. He needs his credit goddamnit!!

Zero chance the UFC HQ staff doesnt consume this.
I have no idea who half of those is though, I only know the old guys.

And the criticism was mostly about no real standout marquee main event, and of course he knows that.

Was funny is thay Helwani actually kept defending the card, he just said that the main event was anticlimactic and put together in the last minute.

Some of the Weili vs Yan reactions are also from before the full card was announced (which were dumb to be fair)

I just saw this on Twitter a minute ago.
What a petty little loser. <lol><lol><lol><lol>

thing is, all of the comments were about the matchmaking and how on paper it wasn't quite 300-worthy, especially after he promised to blow our minds with the matchups.

the fact that the fights turned out great doesn't excuse the non-mindblowing matchmaking. The one thing they did right was to stack the even top to bottom so that there were interesting fights at every level, so at least some of them were bound to be winners. As it turns out we got two all-time classic moments from it.

Dana is SO petty, fights turn out meh and this video never see the light, guaranteed.

Its still a card just put together but it worked, Gaethje vs Holloway turned out great, now do they have a guy next for Islam? They lost the #1 guy to a great figher that is more focused on returning to his original FW division.

Main event, they took forever to get someone good to sign, Hill vs Pereira didnt blew anyone heads off, fight or announcement, period, it was a fight that it was already basically done for UFC 301 but they took it to UFC 300.

This is Dana White being Dana White, seriously, the sport NEEDS another class action lawsuit that ends them, go the boxing model from there, and i say this as a UFC fan that likes Dana White, they throw names at a card, turns out great, and now they are the best thing to ever happen to the sport?

PS: It was Dana White fault, promised mind blowing matchmaking, ends up doing Pereira vs Hill a fight that wasnt that, Gaethje vs Holloway wasnt that either, he promised Jones vs Aspinall / Conor vs Khabib stuff.
