Fallout TV Series (Premieres April 11)

watched the last episode the other night. Ramped up the interest until the next series.
Hopefully they will add a few more beasts into the next episodes.

Im saying that , its been awesome how they havent taken some artistic licence and deviated from the game, hell even doing the codes on the computer was a hark back to the game

I don’t even know what I’m watching, was enjoyable for a bit, not sure I’m going to pursue season two, ok, for live action sci-fi

Just finished it tonight. I am too looking forward to season 2 now.

I can see though how anyone that isn't familiar with the fallout games would not be into it or on the fence. My wife included.

Some took the series way too seriously. Fallout 3 was super quirky and awkward and thats what the show reflected.

Only like 6 episodes in and I feel like I've seen this before. Maybe it's that it is similar to Twisted Metal?

All I all good show. They should replace the black dude . Aside from him the cast is great I didn't think I would like Jinx in the lead role but she's actually really good also much cuter than I thought. Goggins is great in everything. Interested in how the progress it. Hope it doesn't tske 2 to 3 years for another season .

I also never played Fallout (going to change that), but I burned through season 1 in two days. Fantastic show, Goggins is incredible. I enjoyed the whole cast, zero complaints. The squire who took the stinky old head from Maximus particularly has a chance to be a lot of fun in season 2.

I would avoid the 2D ones from the late 90s. They haven't aged well and are notoriously difficult.
New Vegas is probably the best one but 4 is the newest single player one and is also first chronologically.
Whatever you do, don't play 3 and NV on PS3.

Man, I love the iso view in 2d games, though. I’ll probably check out the original just for ideas for my own game dev hobby.

I guess the various Bethesda fallouts are controversial. I’ve heard 3 and NV are the best, is it just the PS3 that’s a problem with those?

Bethesda games were notorious for being buggy on PS3.

Haven't aged well because they aren't easy?

I think that the show is fine, not great, not terrible.

I don't have a problem with Maximus' acting. He's from the Brotherhood of Steel. They're stiffs.

I cracked up when Titus ran from the Yao Guai, though I'd have preferred it if the Guai shrugged off the two headshots. They're rather tough in the game.

Looking forward to the Deathclaw, if there is one.

Yes and no. It's not that they're just difficult, but why they're difficult. A lot of it is just cryptic CRPG super nerd bullshit. They have a lot of old school warts that are damn near impenetrable for all but the very hardcore, that have simply been improved upon over the years.

I only watched the first episode, but if this wasn't Fallout, I wouldn't consider watching anymore (always liked the games and concept). I know some shows take a while to get started, but that was almost as long as a movie and didn't manage to give me a single character worth watching. Weak dialogue and bland actors.

The vault was cool, but the Brotherhood of Steel looked el cheapo. But the overriding problem so far is that both the main characters and villains ranged from annoying to forgetable.

So is this the kind of show were you just need to cruise through the early going or is this just more of the same?
