Best concert experience?

I saw Pink Floyd in 1994 at Texas Stadium. I've been to a lot of concerts in my life but it remains the most mind blowing thing I've ever seen and by a WIDE margin.

Have I mentioned I saw Pink Floyd with Roger Waters and Dave Gilmour on the same stage ITT yet? ;)

There was a 400 cap warehouse in the town i grew up (tucson) that had a redonk amount of great shows from 92-97.
Saw the deftones open for bad brains.
Quicksand popped in for a noon show once
Tom waits graced the stage
Greenday, seaweed, unwound, jawbox, jawbreaker, guided by voices, sunnyday real estate, offspring etc. I was in high school went there almost every night.

Iron maiden at the forum in LA is the best large live show ive seen. Masada is the best small show ive seen. Malignus youth is the best unknown band ive seen.

Blind guardian live through the looking glass (or whatever its called) is the best concert ive seen on video. The crowd is turnt hard at that show.

Metallica live shit tour. My older brother took me as a birthday present. My first concert

Also

Alkaline trio Halloween 2002 @ the metro. One of the last times I'd see them live and it was also their last annual Halloween show at the metro in Chicago

I was really into fusion. I would go to 7th Ave. South. That was a club in New York City that The Brecker Brothers used to own. I saw Chick Corea with Steve Gadd. I saw Return To Forever. I saw Billy Cobham for the first time ...

This was awesome too...

Metallica M2K Tour in 2000

They played the who set list of 20 songs, then came out for an encore for another 5 songs. They were excellent.
Also Sevendust played and were damn near as good.

I went to a Dave Matthews show in 2016 at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion and man was that place alive! Second would be at the same venue but it was Allison Krause and my wife and I had an entire luxury section to ourselves. I'm talking 40' of real estate with comfortable tables and chairs. We had a spread of food and drinks, no lines anywhere and the music was so good.

Probably either Danzig down in Seattle. Spent the weekend and watched the Mariners and the Seahawks, had a nice weekend down at Pike Place then got fucked up at night and saw Doyle and Danzig.

Might be one of Doomsnight raves at the Coliseum (10-12k people maybe). I enjoyed those times even though I wouldnt do it now (i dont think)

My favorites have been Behemoth at Webster Hall in NYC and Iron Maiden at MSG. Behemoth was a nonstop moshpit for 2+ hours in a small dark venue and Iron Maiden had the best stage show and presentation. I haven't seen Rammstein yet but they are the default best live show based on the videos i've seen.

Best show - Rammstein, hands down.
Best slam I've been in - Knorkator.
Best after show (autographs/chat/etc) - Oomph!

Fuck Rammstein how did I forget. I've seen them 3x. All on my birthday randomly to.

The third show I brought my buddy who had never been to a live concert before. He was completely blown away. He's kinda pissed now though cuz no shows will ever be as good. He didn't even know a single song, but as he put it "It didn't really matter.."

Also another good one was Muse. I didn't know amy songs but the show was top quality. I was also on M so that helps.

Tough to choose just one. Pink Floyd, Sonic Youth, and Fleetwood Mac had great shows. Many others as well.

I will say even tho I cant stand Roger Waters he puts on a great show even in 70s

Festival: Rage Against The Machine 2006
Open Air: Rolling Stones @ Hyde Park 2013
Club Show: The Strokes 2001

Fanboy List:

Oasis in Manchester 2005 + Noel Gallagher @ Royal Albert Hall 2010

Gogol Bordello at Lollapalooza in 2008. In terms of pure fun, they really can't be beat. Just absolute joyous chaos.

Saw Daughters in Portland last December. Probably the most intense show I've ever seen. It was terrifying and exhilarating. I felt like I was being sucked into the abyss.

I don't know... Best overall show was Spite/Revocation/Dying Fetus

But Fallujah sucked ass and we skipped White Chapel cuz theyre shit.

The other 3 bands were great though

Allegaeon were great, Paladin opened for them and were great but I'm not a big inferi fan

I have to add, I saw Green Day play 90 minutes opening for Blink 182 in 2001 or 2? I liked both bands, but Green Day was promoting their "best of" International Super Hits album(7 years after Dookie..which in hindsight I know it was to fulfill a contract but is still crazy). So their entire set was just 90's hit after hit, and all killer no filler. Needless to say Blink was buried that day. I couldn't imagine being them and having to repeat that scenario every night.
