Tommy Morrison Dead

Foreman was a sore loser that night. He didn't like losing to Morrison.

that's a very common reaction for sluggers, duran, hagler, etcc., they whine when a man runs but you can't make it easy for a puncher to clobber you, that's just stupid. tommy fought a smart fight and since this was post mercer, everyone knew he could be clobbered. Tommy fought a smart, disciplined fight,t he best of his career. Like I've said, two things he was missing, a chin and discipline, he had great heart, great handspeed, an all time left hook and he was a smart man. He also was a "white hope",( actually an Indian hope according to his mama, but he died his hair) when people honestly asked the question "will we ever have a white dominant heavyweight champion again?" he milked the gerry ****y/quarry/cobb thing for all it was worth and it worked all the way down to the unproven claims of being related to that legendary racist, John Wayne.

Watched a vid on him yesterday in YouTube called 'The darkest secret in boxing'.

He was the man at one point, sad shit. RIP Tommy.

Sad story. To look at him he looked like a guy who was on roids much more than other guys from that era.

He had the massive arms “I always skip leg day” look.

He was likely far from the only one on roids though he might have taken it further than other guys.

Probably many of them were. Some probably just have good genetic responses to the stuff.

I think even Tyson mentioned he was on it.

I think Tyson admitted to using a whizzinator and also said he would have used Human growth hormone if he could do his career again.

I’m not sure Tyson wasn’t a genetic freak, there are stories of him being jacked at 14.

Public trust in the “genetic freak” argument is at an all time low but genes have been identified. “Myostatin” is one.

They say he probably had it and knew about it as early as 1990. How he got around the tests like that is just a question to put to the places that didn't watch his testing very closely. Not a good man, hate to speak bad of the deceased.

I always thought this was a KO til I saw the rest

How did he get up from that?

Razor was one hard mofo.

Average chin but good recuperation--he also went down like he got shot vs. Weaver & Bonecrusher Smith & bounced up wobbly from both & came back to win.

He was protesting hard when they stopped the Morrison & 1st Tyson fights, IIRC.

Yeah, just like he said. Average chin, but very good recovery ability.

It’s ironic that both had bad chins, both had crazy left hooks, both were usually reckless and both appeared to be at the same stage of their downslope when they met.

I think Donovan was better, but he literally went left hook crazy after Dokes and never looked back. At least Morrison made adjustments and had some pretty respectable outings on occasion. Shame because it seemed like Ruddock had a pretty crisp right hand when he decided to use it.
