He fought once for One vs a picked opponent. They set it up to profit from his youtube views. You make it sound like he's a regular in One FC. Pride also had these "attraction" fights.

You can consider the CM Punk bit shit talking but any real mma Fan or practicionar knows he is even sub average for amateur competition. He started at 38 and isn't athletically gifted or talented for fighting.

How good do you think Chan is ? Strenght of competition. What is your assessment.

I highly doubt that. I don't think you realize how shitty Punk was. I would favour anyone with some talent against him. Punk would never have made it in amateur MMA. After years at Roufous he couldn't even do a clean 1-2 or basic grappling. He had a special mixture of too much ego , no talent and not much drive.

Cm Punk was good for mma he sold some ppvs helped sell a few. That's it. He had the bravery to enter a cage. Vs a catered opponent. Lol would beat 80% of active fighters, do you even watch mma.

To be fair to Punk I think his body being banged up from his pro wrestling career was also another factor. IIRC he had a couple of surgeries whilst preparing for his fights in the UFC.
 
Realistically CM Punk wasn't ready. He wasn't even winning the smokers in his gym. UFC wanted to pay him 500k though. It's worth it for him to show up for a fight.

He was 38 and trained 2-3 years. So basically he could've never gotten ready, the ship sailed.

He didn't even look talented. He looked the lowest level, ufc 1 fighters would knock him out. No killer instinct or natural fighting ability. No Talent. I know there's people after 6 months who would do heaps better then him.
