***2024 NBA Thread - Let The Games Begin***

Murray's poor performance can't just be talked away by saying he's injured anymore. No, he's constantly making low IQ decisions on the court, especially when frustrated and it's costing the whole team. Attempting super tough fade-away jumpers over and over when you're cold as ice is simply not him being injured, it's all ego and stupidity

Hard to watch the NBA anymore. Most games seem to be decided by well over 10 points. All you really need to look at are the 3pt percentages. Whichever team shot the highest percentage is most likely the winner.

The big flaw with the NBA is the exciting part is the final 5 minutes. And that's the point where the flow of the game is interrupted by timeouts after every possession.

Can't argue with that. Not to mention the fact that if a team is down by 3 and doesn't have a timeout to inbound the ball past half court, they basically have no chance because the other team is just going to treat every player like they're Deandre Jordan.

I just want to add a little context here. The West especially has been low scoring this playoffs, defensive oriented, and with refs no calling much of what they would generally call as a foul. Just taking what I watch the most, Mavs games, you can clearly see this is not a regular season, 3 point All Star game type of playoffs.

Mavs vs. Clippers
109-97
96-93
101-90
116-111
123-93
114-101

Mavs vs. Thunder
117-95
119-110
105-101
109-96
104-92

Scores mostly below league regular season averages and with one or the other team scoring less than 100 in 7 of the 11 games here. As far as only shooting 3's, I think some of that has faded because SGA, for example, takes almost exclusively mid-range shots and he is the Thunder's top scorer. Luka and Kyrie certainly both take advantage of mid-range and paint points.
