Based on the craziness that the scorecards last night, it feels like unless Paul gets KO'd he will always "win".
There's zero reason for JP to fight a real boxer. The skill gap is too big. You don't learn boxing in a couple years unlike MMA. If you step in any boxing gym and look at the kids that were there since they're teens, they're monsters.
Didnt Woodley ko Lawler and drop wonder boy twice? Two of the best mma ww strikers ever?
He's getting it right now, and then Jake is gonna
no rematch
How many current high level MMA fighters starred out without any Martial Arts background in their mid 20's and excelled within "A couple years"?
Lame.He would KO Canelo stiff in 1 round
Tony Ferguson, Francis Ngannou, countless others started in their mid 20s or later.
Conversely, you really cannot get into pro boxing unless you start in your teens and basically grow up in a boxing gym. Obviously the Jake Paul & Conor McGregor type are celebrity boxers which is another topic entirely, they will never ever ever be elite boxers.

Yeah he’s underrated at this point. The guy just outboxed a guy with a lifetime of fight experience including boxing training, a former world champ at that and the fight wasn’t close. Tyron couldn’t do anything to Paul.
Was Jake the one who challenged Canelo or was it the other Paul?
Tyron does not have a lifetime of 'fight experience tho'. He was a wrestler, same as Paul, and then he transitioned late in life to doing MMA. MMA striking and Queensbury boxing are totally different - the spacing is different, you can only hit with the front of your fist, the stance is different, you do not use low dipping trunk movement as you will get head kicked, the footwork is totally different, there are no takedowns, no clinch fighting and the ref is constantly intervening. The only thing they have in common is being able to throw a punch and receive one.Yeah he’s underrated at this point. Yep. That too. His goal is to make money, not become credible in boxing.I dunno if it makes sense for him to fight an actual pro with a known record. He's not good enough to ever become a championship level boxer, but his fights have championship level hype. Would that be there if he boxed (and struggled) against the #143th best boxer in the world? Obviously nobody thinks he's championship level, but the draw to his fights isn't in wanting to see legitimate high level athletic competition in the sport of boxing.
