Ban Retirement Fights?

Fedor can get a retirement fight. Just not against the current HW champion of the organization. Same thing will happen to Bader when it is his time to go. This sport is brutal.

He should have retired before the Bader rematch then. He KO'd Tim Johnson, that was prefect to retire on.

He wanted the Bader fight for his retirement and that's it.

They should have done the Rizin event as a retirement fight. Fedor vs some Japanese guy for the HW strap for that org.

I agree, Rizin would have been fun for his last fight. But he wanted Bader for the rematch. Coker ain't saying no.

It more about fair matchmaking. That was a dumb matchup for Fedor and he was clearly a massive dog.

We shouldn't want to take that from them.

Fedor facing Bader was really like a passing of the torch. Imagine fighting the champion of the organization as your last fight, well past your prime. A legendary exit imo.

ban retirement, add new 45-60 year old division and perhaps 60-70, 70-90 and on
 
Fedor beat a ranked fighter, he earned it

None of GSP's fights were retirement fights. You gotta say before the fight you are retiring for that.
 
Retirement fights are great.. Legends should lose, so that they don't change their mind if they do happen to win.
 
Is Bader a bitch for putting the flops on an old man? Or was it a show of respect that he had to beat the brakes off him or risk losing?
