** Fight had to occur in UFC

To start...I'll add a few

Conor - current WW contender
Aldo - current BW contender
3 weight classes apart

Rumble Johnson - potential HW contender
Charlie Brenneman - former LW fighter
4 weight classes apart

Frankie Edgar - potential BW contender
Shawn Sherk - former WW contender
3 weight classes apart

BJ Penn - former FW fighter
Rory McDonald - former MW contender
3 weight classes apart

Dan Henderson - former HW challenger (beat Fedor)
Hector Lombard - former WW contender
3 weight classes apart

This thread is just an excuse to get guys who have lost, shit on and so Conor fans can bathe in their own juices, lol.

why doesn't matter what weight class they fight at now? all that matters is that they made weight.

Like Rumble weighing 265 lbs now doesn't have anything to do with when he fought at 170.

Everyone on that list once weighed less than 20lbs. Huge weight disadvantage!

Penn also faught lyoto machida at lhw then faught 145 and 155 hes a 4 weight class or 5 guy

Bj has been battling himself for a while, so openweight bj vs featherweight bj.

that’s just crazy.

Keith Hackney vs Emmanuel Yarborough.
Paul Varelans vs Mark Hall.
Don Frye vs Thomas Ramirez
Gerrard Gordeau vs Telia Tuli
Koji Kitao vs Mark Hall
Scott Ferrozo vs Jim Mullen

Probably tons others I am missing..

Bob Sapp vs Big Nog is the only answer, don't care if it wasn't UFC

He still weighed considerably more than 200lbs which is absurd for any WW. The fact that he could even compete at HW is quite freaky if you think about it. What WW right now do you think could be HW sized or even LHW sized without going on a big mac diet?

There was no huge weight difference between Conor and Aldo at the time. Aldo used to kill himself to make 145.

Max" Good guy" "New Goat" Holloway is an even bigger weight bully than 145 Conor

Rumble Johnsson former ww vs Daniel cormier hw. Cormier dwarfed him.

Matt serra vs gsp

Matt was a lightweight while gsp at the time could of been a mw.

Aldo is a giant bantam. One of the biggest we have seen outside of Marlon. I do agree however that conor was a turbo cut baby at featherweight

Not really 4 weight classes apart when they fought they were at the same weight as each other. If they made the weight, that's kinda the whole point of weight limits.

I'm unsure what point this thread is making.

actually bj fought machida at HW. that being said, as others have pointed out, it doesn't matter much because when the said fights were made, both fighters made weight. i don't even like conor, but he fought aldo and took his belt while making weight (besides, aldo cut a lot of weight himself to make BW anyway).

Not much actual weight difference between Conor and Aldo, just a different mindset. One decided to go up and challenge himself at the higher weight classes whilst the other tried to try gain an even bigger size advantage by cutting even more weight.

God this topic is annoying. Most fighters can go up and down one category so almost any given pair of fighters who fought can have a 2 weights classes delta if one steps up and the other one steps down.

It is up to individual fighters if they want to weight cut or bulk up for a fight.
