There are endemic and then there are sporadic viruses..endemic viruses require herd immunity

Since corona is not endemic in humans there is no absolute need for herd immunity

What is needed to prevent future outbreaks is a strong intl response to pressure china into..

1. Immediately and permanently shutting down all unregulated animal markets

2. Having an agency the equivalent of FDA regulate all animal acquisition, processing and distribution

I don't think you read my post at all. The only way to defeat a virus is through immunity (via natural or via vaccines).

Also there is no conclusive proof that the virus even originated from an animal market.

I read it but you dont seem to understand the difference in endemic vs sporadic

And yes it got traced back to wet markets just like the first corona virus (sars)

That just means a vaccine won't be of any use of we take your scenario. It means we are just delaying the spread and nothing more

I agree with this. Even shutting down for the summer is unrealistic. At what point are we saying "did what we could and restart normal life. It seems since people want us locked down for a year or more. That shit isn't going to happen . Hard choices are going to have to be made within the next few week hopefully.

I am proud to announce I have utilized my superior shertard intellect to come up with a solution for insufficient testing due to each test consuming one set of PPE: Gloryholes.

People drive up for testing. Someone brings a gloryhole to the car window and then takes the sample thru the gloryhole. PPE stays clean and just need to saniwipe the gloryhole for next test subject.

Until ordinary med tech people can acquire the ability to make their own gloryholes, pornstars can temporarily donate the use of theirs for test sites to use.
