It is disappointing that Biden keeps the southern border open and allows people into the country that have COVID. Thought this a nice article on this troubling Biden policy.

Vaccinated family members from Europe are still barred from entering the United States, but President
Joe Biden is still welcoming tens of thousands of unvaccinated illegal immigrants into the country every month.
This incoherent, contradictory policy undermines both public health and the rule of law. And it will get innocent people killed.
Earlier this week, White House press secretary
Jen Psaki announced the U.S. will maintain its travel ban on certain COVID-infected countries, including Brazil, China, India, Iran, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and most European Union members.
“The more transmissible delta variant is spreading both here and around the world,” Psaki explained. “Driven by the delta variant, cases are rising here at home, particularly among those who are unvaccinated, and appear likely to continue in the weeks ahead.”
One area cases are rising particularly fast “right here at home” is the Rio Grande Valley, where thousands of illegal immigrants are apprehended and, thanks to Biden, quickly ushered into the U.S. to travel to their final destinations.
Even illegal immigrants who test positive for COVID-19, or show symptoms of COVID-19, aren’t turned away. Instead, they are transported by the federal government into unsuspecting communities in the U.S.
In the town of La Joya, Texas, for example, police were recently called after unmasked illegal immigrants with symptoms of COVID-19 were spotted in a burger joint downtown. Police later discovered subcontractors of the federal government had rented out entire hotels in the town to house COVID-infected migrants and then left them free to leave their rooms and infect the rest of the community.
A Hidalgo County judge pleaded with the Department of Homeland Security to stop releasing migrants into his jurisdiction, but Biden doesn’t care. At a presidential debate in 2020, Biden called on migrants to “surge to the border” as soon as he was elected.
“If you want to flee, and you are fleeing oppression, you should come,” Biden said.
And they have.
Good to his word — at least his word to illegal immigrants, not necessarily to Americans — every policy action Biden has taken on immigration has been designed to process more illegal immigrants into the U.S. quicker. Instead of stopping the flow of illegal immigrants, Biden has deliberately made that flow stronger and faster.
Under normal circumstances, this would only be a gross violation of his oath to execute the laws of the U.S faithfully. But when you add COVID-19 and its delta variant to the mix, Biden’s actions take a grave turn.
If the vaccinated people of Europe are such a threat to the public health of the U.S., what does that make the unvaccinated illegal immigrants pouring across the southern
border? Biden’s border crisis is already getting people sick, and some of them are going to die.
