This would kind of make sense. Beta branch was hidden from public view in September for Valve was clearly testing CSGO maps in Source2. Then this year we didnt get a Operation and Valve bought the rights from a mapper to be the new Active Duty map. Which means they are likely focused on porting to Source2.

Speculation of the port includes;

• Like Dota2's port to Source2, CSGO's port will work alongside its Source1 version. Where the Source1 version will eventually be phased out.
• All Valve MM servers will be upgraded to 128tick.
• Rework of the ranking system.
• Leader board will likely be expanded to include Steam group players in addition to currently used Friends.

• Was a active player on Astralis.
• Last ESL Pro League lan was in the same location, Malta.
• After Astralis was eliminated Konfig went out one night to a bar where he got into a fight with a bouncer.
• Bouncer removed him from the bar in which Konfig continued arguing with the bouncer to bait a fight.
• Bouncer and Knofig got into a full physical fight resulting in Konfig getting his leg broken by the bouncer.
• As a result Astralis the org dropped him from the roster.
