Economy Democrats have done a demonstrably superior job, during the same period, of managing the economy.

Then you must have hated history in high school lol

Didn't hate history. I just don't ignore what is going on in the moment and pretend like we're in good hands because the democrats are in office. They've been attempting to print and waste more money for months now without a care in the world about inflation.

Today's democrats are nothing like the democrats of old.

Monetary policy is not set by Democrats. The current Fed chair was appointed by Trump. Learn to look stuff up when you're not sure.

Solid rebuttal of my argument.

Just thought maybe since that was what it came down to when it came to Biden Trump and Putin in our previous conversations that maybe we should apply that across the board whenever dealing with rival countries.

No portion of our people are relegated to poverty as a result of trade..
That is demonstrably false. How many cities in America were devastated when factories closed their doors and moved overseas. Mine was one of them. We had various industries here, now they're all gone (and they were by the 90's)

Furthermore, it goes beyond simple labor costs. We don't even have the capability to build many things we used to. If they decide at some point to cut us off, we're royalty fucked. Hell, even shipping is weighted against us. I can get 50 capacitors shipped to me cheaper from China, than from my own state.

Concession accepted.

Past? as in when Biden wasn't president?
Bob thinks China owes its success to the existence of the Biden family. Kinda like members of the Illuminati. They get together once a year to worship Hunter’s laptop and have an orgy as tribute.

Yes, and when his fellow democrat was president.

In 2000, then-Sen. Joe Biden joined with 82 other senatorsand the Clinton administration in normalizing trade relations with China. It was a crucial step in allowing China to join the World Trade Organization. Labor unions like the Teamsters and the United Auto Workers hated this and mounted a feverish campaign against it. They feared that lowering trade barriers with China would flood the U.S. with cheap Chinese products and kill jobs. But Biden and others argued that it would promote economic growth and peace and help convince China to play by international rules.

My point is completely relevant to the thread and FAR more consequential than the effect tpp would have had until today.

Dear brainlet, go read the article Biden vs Biden from the far right npr so you can educate yourself and stop looking like a fool.

Lmao

You are the last person on here that should be talking about money after you've already embarrassed yourself countless times.

Well, that's not true. But also personal attacks don't change the facts. It's just an attempt at a diversion.

At this point, we have more jobs than workers. Impossible to sustain the argument that we'd be better off with American sweatshops or that anyone is impoverished by trade.

Smells like bullshit

Again, you use a false pretense.

These weren't "sweatshop" jobs. They were good middle class jobs that could support a family on 1 income.

We have a shit ton of crappy jobs available because people don't want to serve food with no future prospects.

Dude when someone throws the "neoliberal" tag around as if it meant something you already know the person in question is either a moron or ignorant of the subject in question.

Neoliberalism is a boogeyman invented by socialists once the bourgeois epithet became tiresome.
Or maybe it’s an economical system that can be criticized. Didn’t take you for one of those freaks that shouts down things that you don’t like. Yet here we are

It is? because the term was coined by a socialist philosopher, not an economist, also since its not defined its basically "everyone i don't like is a neoliberal" type meme boogeyman for socialists.

Nope, i just simply find myself wondering since when you guys started using commie insults, because last time i was checked Sherdog right wingers called everyone a marxist or commie, now they are using commie terms, how the turntables.

From Wiki
When the term entered into common use in the 1980s in connection with Augusto Pinochet's economic reforms in Chile, it quickly took on negative connotations and was employed principally by critics of market reform and laissez-faire capitalism. Scholars tended to associate it with the theories of Mont Pelerin Society economists Friedrich Hayek, Milton Friedman and James M. Buchanan, along with politicians and policy-makers such as Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan and Alan Greenspan.[33][34] Once the new meaning of neoliberalism became established as a common usage among Spanish-speaking scholars, it diffused into the English-language study of political economy.[33] By 1994, with the passage of NAFTA and with the Zapatistas' reaction to this development in Chiapas, the term entered global circulation. Scholarship on the phenomenon of neoliberalism has grown over the last few decades.[23][24]

Seems it is a term for laissez-faire capitalism that goes too far. By that I mean puts only profits as important at the cost of everything else. Hence my criticism of NAFTA and China joining the WTO. But you decided to play this stupid game instead.
