That is demonstrably false. How many cities in America were devastated when factories closed their doors and moved overseas. Mine was one of them. We had various industries here, now they're all gone (and they were by the 90's)

Furthermore, it goes beyond simple labor costs. We don't even have the capability to build many things we used to. If they decide at some point to cut us off, we're royalty fucked. Hell, even shipping is weighted against us. I can get 50 capacitors shipped to me cheaper from China, than from my own state.
