Did Jon Jones stock go down today?

Do you know anything about money? Francis will be lucky to see 3-4 mil of that money. Jones still has a much higher net worth and is a career long winner.

Francis got outboxed by black beast, I don’t want to hear anything about stock lol.

Undefeated.

<JonesLaugh>

It kind of doesn't matter anymore because now Francis will be able to get a few big boxing fights.

Ironically yeah lol.
Still the most complete MMA fighter ever BUT...
after seeing what threat Ngannou could do to Fury, Jones legacy is worsened because there is a big IF.

Jones vs Ngannou. Forget Stipe, no one cares about that

big if about about what? what does francis doing well in boxing have to do with jones in mma?

It went down when he pulled out due to injury. Then it went down again tonight when it became crystal clear that he would have been flattened and humiliated by Ngannou had they ever fought.

It’s no wonder he ducked Ngannou for as long as he did.

It proves that he’d have been smashed by Ngannou, and helps explain why he basically stopped fighting in MMA for so long: because he knew he’d get humiliated by Francis.

Don’t you remember how long he was out because he was mad the UFC wouldn’t pay him enough to get demolished in front of millions of broken-hearted fans?

ngannou and fury just fought for the title of "baddest man on the planet". even though fury won by points in more rounds, ngannou posed a bigger threat of KO.

this makes Jones' legacy worse (even though he is not involved), because Ngannou is a baaad scary dude.
if he survives and can go toe-to-toe 10 rounds with the best heavyweight boxer in the world (possibly ever), what does that say about Jones' chances in a striking match in MMA against Ngannou?

If Jones and Ngannou fight in MMA, Jones would surely lose in striking. His legit chance would be wrestling Francis to the ground and submitting him there.

Jon Jones absolutley sucks, but tonight didnt really have anything to do with that.

jesus the takes on this forum are at an all time low.

yeh thanks for your lack of input you are lowering it.

- even though fury won does his stock go down? yes. he is not as invincible as everyone though he was before the fight
- even though volk took the fight on 12-day notice does his stock go down? yes. he got KO'd
- even though jon jones is nowhere in this conversation does his stock go down after Ngannou's boxing performance? yes. they are both in the contention for "baddest man on the planet".

that's what competition is, a constant back and forth between the best of the best

Anyone looking to invest in stocks based on today's fight should watch Ngannou versus black beast for a fair comparison.

Yes because Jon last win was against ngannou leftover all respect to gane but ngannou is the heavyweight king of ufc

Just so I'm clear, the guy who lost today is the baddest HW on the planet?

<{hfved}>

I think there's a decent argument for that, and I'm not suggesting that Ngannou was robbed. Climbing his way to the top of one major combat sport and then holding his own against a top guy in another is pretty damn impressive. How would Jones do in a boxing match with Fury? How would Fury do in an MMA fight with Pavlovich?

How did Jones stock go down? He annihilated the guy who made Ngannou look like a punching bag on the feet in under a minute.

0-1 Ngannou out there begging for boxing handouts while Jones is the UFC HW champ and cementing his legacy as the GOAT.

Respect the actual fighter here bud.

<JonesDXSuckIt>
Francis was on one leg as proven by the major knee surgery he had right after the fight. He couldn't even train. He obliterates Gane with 2 good knees imo.

Black beast did fuck all and you’re defending a dude who fled after he hit a pregnant lady and also assaulted his wife. You’re a clown tho so whatever.

There’s a reason jon waited for Ngannou to leave before coming back

To be honest its pretty embarrassing you have so many people on Sherdog willing to go with the UFC line that this isnt the case when its SO obviously is.

Jones says he's moving to HW right after DC/Stipe 3, Stipe loses to Francis and suddenly Jones takes years to "bulk up", Jones is offered Francis but claims $10 million isnt enough pricing himself out of the fight, Francis is out of contract signs elsewhere and suddenly Jones comes back then tries to setup the same fight with an even older Stipe.

Really I think it shows you the degree many people hear are mindless drones to UFC hype, I do wonder what would happen if Dana suddenly started claiming cow shite tasted like strawberries, would a good amount of Sherdog be found dead in fields with there heads buried on mounds of it?

No this is why UFC should've paid them both what they thought was fair to fight each other.
Now this cements how important a fight between the two was so crucial.

In a way yes.

Ngannou leaving left legitimacy to the lineal belt somewhat questionable. Jones pretty much dispelled those questions by absolutely wrecking Gane.

Ngannou pulling something like this off after leaving brings back some question marks to the world's greatest heavyweight.
