Economy Donald Trump launches sneaker line

In a mammoth shake-up to the world economy, Donald Trump has released a sneaker line the day after being ordered to pay $355 million. Dump supporters, along with anyone interested in looking like a complete can, now have the opportunity to buy brand new “Never Surrender High-Tops” at a steal of $399.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — As he closes in on the Republican presidential nomination, former President Donald Trump made a highly unusual stop Saturday, hawking new Trump-branded sneakers at “Sneaker Con,” a gathering that bills itself as the “The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth.”

Trump was met with loud boos as well as cheers at the Philadelphia Convention Center as he introduced what he called the first official Trump footwear.

The shoes, gold lame high tops with an American flag detail on the back, are being sold as “Never Surrender High-Tops” for $399 on a new website that also sells Trump-branded “Victory47” cologne and perfume for $99 a bottle. He’d be the 47th president if elected again.

Sleepy Joe dropped the ball on this imho. Instead of (barely) taking care of business, he should have been creating bargain sneakers for America.

They edited it to drown out the boos.

Right...Republicans are racists that are angry that their slaves got taken away. Can't get anything past you.
Republican base do not like to hear that slavery was the cause of the Civil War, which is why they peddle that bullshit about "The war of Northern Aggression" and act like it wasn't about slavery.

Republican commenters love to point out that Democrats were the party of slavery but then they defend the slavery denial and support Confederates heroes.

These cases are illegitimate, but so far it's all been losses, so let's see how these next few go.

Sure bub

What good is an illegitimate political persecution if you don't achieve the desired verdict? I mean the goal is to sway low information voters with said verdicts. Partisan hacks using the verdicts as ammunition for online disputes is just a byproduct.

so trump does in fact have a history of significant fraud
Trump still owes 300+ contractors who built his failure casino, Taj Mahal. There iare over thousands of contractors who have been stiffed by Trump.
i don’t understand the whole Trump is hero to the common man when Trump has literally stiffed thousands of hard working Americans for work they have performed.
imagine simping for some rich dude who takes advantage of hard working Americans. I don’t get it.

You'd have to define significant fraud.
Not paying contractors for work performed. Then using your resources to bully them in court so they settle for way less.

I guess I am from a different generation where if you worked for someone they paid you. You worship a guy who has had 1000's of hard working Americans do work for him and then he does not fucking pay them. I imagine a dude that started some ceramic tiling business, putting all his money and time into making his dream come true of owning a business, but made one fatal mistake, which is trusting Trump to pay you for work he performed. Then said dude now is probably bankrupt all because he expected to paid for work he did.
Trump being the hero of the common man would be so fucking laughable, if it was not so sad for thousand of unpaid contractors.

You think Alyssa Milano got comped Super Bowl tickets? They barely even give players tickets.

Not giving players tickets is an exploitive practice, it's the same for big fights. Everyone thinks the fighters can get them in for free, they often can't because they're not the ones who are given the comped tickets. Athletes end up paying the same organization they're working for and its f*ckin gross.

That said, celebrities who don't play have the easiest access to comped tickets, and I didn't say I think Milano got her tickets comped. I said it was just as likely, and that if she did pay, that says more about her character of being willing to pay, because its celebrities and public figures who always tend to expect to walk into events like this for free. There was a concierge I was pretty tight with here in Vegas, he used to get stacks of tickets to Mayweather fights and there was always a number of them allotted to be given as gifts because the more celebrities you can show on screen the better. Its also not uncommon for studios to buy tickets for the celebrities for that same purpose, so its used as a public appearance to boost visibility, the celebrity doesnt pay out of pocket.

Anyone in breach of contract should be sued. Sounds like he was. You are dissatisfied with the courts findings in those cases and yet you happily accept the most recent absurd judgements?

It's not about the "court findings". It's about the fact that he used this as a business practice to fuck over the regular people working for him.

Award contracts for a certain amount. String contractors along all while knowing damn well you have no intent to pay them. Finally tell them you can't pay them the agreed amount, but offer them pennies on the dollar for what they're owed of they don't sue. Use the court system to bleed small contractors that do sue dry in order not to pay.

These are the tactics of a scumbag fraud, and part of a decades long pattern. There is zero question about it.

He deserves to pay cent he's ordered to by the courts.

My point was civil courts exist to remedy contract disputes and they were remedied. If his reputation among contractors was so bad then nobody would choose to work for him.

She seems the most cunning out of all the kids; Don and Eric seem like dunces. Ivanka lucked out and escaped prosection over the NYC real estate fraud case despite she being the lead loan officer for the Trump company. The statue of limitations ran out. The 2 guys (Eric and Don Jr.) couldn't escape the statue of limitations because they ran the company while Trump was President while Ivanka resigned from her position, ergo she lucked out.
Or she saw the writing on the wall and bugged out.
