Francis is still waiting for you Jon

Shame that fight never happened, but on the bright side we got to watch Francis make a mockery of the sport of boxing instead by dropping ‘the best heavyweight of his generation’ and arguably winning the fight.

Francis isn't even fighting in PFL despite agreeing to after PFL agreed to all his absurd demands.

But sure, Jon's the problem here and not Francis' blatantly simply never fighting in MMA again.
Ngannou will fight MMA again sooner than later. After he loses to AJ those boxing promoters are gonna throw him out like yesterdays trash.

Not fighting this year doesn't mean he wont "fight MMA ever again". If Ngannou loses to AJ do you honestly think these boxing promoters give him a third chance to beat one of their guys?? I personally don't Fury vs Ngannou made no money in terms of PPV buys and its too risky for the boxing guys. This Joshua fight is literally all or nothing for Francis. If he loses here the money fights are gone and 35 million is far from generational wealth.

If he wins he's fighting the Fury/Usyk winner, barring any rematch clauses affecting that. And even then he'd just hold out for them if he can.

If he loses he's obviously going to try for Wilder as at least one last pay day. Or someone else as he's still a top 10 boxer right now.

The dude is never returning to MMA unless he has to, and even then he's only going to do it so long as PFL hasn't cut his ass for refusing to fight for them. Then he'll show up to collect one last $1M+ pay and fuck off into true retirement. He'll never return if PFL cuts him and he has to try and sign somewhere else where he's not already been guaranteed his millionaire pay even if he'll be on a 3 fight losing streak and haven't competed in MMA in 3 years.

The guy's been done with MMA ever since he tore his knees for Gane and it's obvious to anybody paying attention. That's one of, if not the main reason why he shifted to boxing.

Then what?
All of those huge match ups in the PFL?
Some fighters could get away with freakshow fights and collect big paydays.
But the problem with Francis is that he has never been a draw. And since he'll never be able to carry a card on his own, who does he fight in PFL?

That's what these Francis nut huggers never seem to understand.
"Dana fumbled the bag!"
It was never a UFC vs Francis Ngannou negotiation. The UFC is an MMA promotion and Francis never wanted to fight in MMA.
If anyone lost here it was PFL because they got used. Dana and Co saw right through Francis' game plan.
