louisiana's hospitals are filled up with covid patients, including their childrens hospitals. they are running out of ICU beds. some kind of lockdown is probably imminent if it keeps surging.

You can't compare condoms with masks. Condoms not working is due to rips/tears or misuse of the item. It fully stops it from spilling out if used correctly or isn't damaged. Masks were never intended to be used to stop airborne viruses. They can't. That's why there are zero scientific backing to prove that it does. It stops body fluids. That's why people were big on washing hands and hand sanitizers. To prevent you from getting body fluids on your hands and spreading it everywhere. Yes mask work for that reason, but not stopping airborne viral particles that can easily pass through all available masks that people are wearing. You need air tight filtered masks for that specific reason to do that. None of the mask people are wearing was designed to stop airborne viruses. All the mask being made with cotton or other material does absolutely nothing either. It's honestly just giving people a false sense of security.

I'm fine with people wearing it if they want to for extra protection. Like I said it's useful for stopping body fluids and that's another way the virus spreads. I just don't want people thinking it actually does anything to stop airborne transmission.

Dummy, masks are intended to filter particles. That’s how Covid is spread. Have you been living under a fucking rock? I posted studies with hard data on how they are able to filter Covid and you’ve never addressed the data because you can’t intelligently. Just “but but but….the box says it’s not completely effective in every single circumstance every single time”. That’s the dumbest thing to throw a fit about.

Punjab government to block mobile SIM cards of citizens who refuse to get COVID-19 jab
The government of Pakistan's Punjab province has told its citizens to get the COVID-19 jab or risk losing access to mobile services.


Pakistan's Punjab government has announced that it will be blocking the mobile service of citizens who refuse to get the COVID-19 jab.

Initially reported by local media and then later confirmed by the Punjab health authority, those who do not get vaccinated will have their mobile SIMs "blocked".

"Mobile SIMs of people not getting vaccinated may be blocked, it was decided in Cabinet meeting under the chair of Minister for Health Dr. Yasmin Rashid at Civil Secretariat," the Punjab government said in a tweet.

Those who work in shopping malls, hospitality businesses and schools across the country can be barred from entering offices if they don’t produce eligible vaccine certificates, reported news agency Reuters.

In Sindh, the provincial government has threatened to impose a tougher penalty. The government said public officials who are not vaccinated can have their salaries withheld and their SIM cards blocked.


The announcement of the penalty led to long queues at vaccination centres and led to violence in some vaccination centres in Karachi city, the capital of Sindh province, said media reports.

Some vaccination centres in the city had kilometre-long queues, reported Reuters. Two centres at the Expo Centre and Khaliq Dina Hall in the city were damaged with violence occurring, reported the Dawnnewspaper.

The certification of inoculation, in the form of an e-paper, has been tough for several to get, according to a report by Gulf News.

Exactly. Why take the "vaccine" if you can catch and transmit the fake vaccine? Why take the vaccine and eat the propaganda? To lessen your symptoms, they say. Lessen symptoms of what? A "flu" that you have a 99.9% chance of surviving? You are right to question the preliminary vaccine trial results. The claimed high values of relative efficacy rely on small numbers of tenuously determined “infections.” The studies were also not blind, where people giving the injections admittedly knew or could deduce whether they were injecting the experimental vaccine or the placebo. This is not acceptable scientific methodology for vaccine trials.

You are correct in your calls for a diversity of scientific opinions. Like in nature, we need a polyculture of information and its interpretations. And we don’t have that right now. Choosing not to take the vaccine is holding space for reason, transparency and accountability to emerge. You are right to ask, ‘What comes next when we give away authority over our own bodies?’
