If it's a question of the annual number of fatalities the data speaks for itself. But what makes you think such statistics somehow diminish the killing of police officers? It's the equivalent of suggesting that the death of someone who has succumbed to a rare form of cancer is somehow less consequential than deaths attributed to more common cancers of the breast or prostate. To put it bluntly, it's some crazy fucking reasoning.
