Is Susuma Hirasawa one of the most underrated artists of this era?

Have a feeling most of you haven't even heard of him. He's a Japanese composer and singer and creates incredible music. He's probably best known though for his meme song Guts from Berserk.

I personally think his track from Aurora way back in 1994 and also appeared a few years ago in a game called Ruiner (where I discovered his music) is his best. Paranesian Circle. Very meditative. His vocals are so powerful too.

I just clocked Beserk last night - the 1997 series and the music was great. I looked up the composer and it was Susuma Hirasawa. My favourite one off that OST is Ghosts:



Loved the scene when the village is burning and this came on. Such a good show! I highly recommend!

He did the soundtrack for Paprika too. If you haven't seen Paprika, or any Satoshi Kon films, it's well worth a watch.
