Javier said a long time ago that Khabib has lost rounds in sparring but never lost an overall sparring session. A few months ago (and again in the OP recent video a few days ago) he clarified that Islam is the only guy to have won sparring rounds against Khabib

I could be completely wrong but I get the sense that Javier really doesn’t have that much to do with their coaching. He’s a part time coach that they (Islam and Khabib) probably don’t listen to too much. AKA is great for sparring partners and they will discuss a gameplan before their fight but for the most part they kind of do their own thing.

This is a guy who lied about Khabibs dads death wish (GSP to come down to 156) to use sympathy to push a fight.

Wouldn’t put saying fake shit to hype a fight beyond him.

Javier has to be a major striking coach, the dude has a legit history in kickboxing. DC and Devon handle the grappling in addition to what the Dagestanis already know, but Javier has to be a significant striking coach for them, in my estimation.

Achmed how would a win over Moises help Islam at all if even Javier has never heard of him? What does Moises do for Islam to propel him towards top 2-3 fights?

Anyway, he lost many times in amateur competition (to the point he could win nothing at some point) so all this "lost point in sparring" talk is more like a reflection of how delusional his admirers really are.
