Oh yes, its always the fault of capitalism when socialism generates mass amount of starvation and misery.

The height of the Venezuelan crisis was in 2017, sanctions started in 2019.

If socialism will fail on its own, why the need to go out of your way to economically sanction at all? Why not just let it be self evident?

What are you talking about 2019 for? We have been sanctioning Venezuela for almost 20 years.

It's not about helping the Venezuelan people; it's about coercing the Venezuelan government into letting American corporations extract Venezuelan wealth, as it always is.

Unilateral sanctions are illegal and considered an acct of war under international law, but we won't be able to get away with it much longer. Countries are starting to wake up to how the United States abuses the world reserve currency status of the dollar, and are finding ways around it.

If you have to commit crimes and acts of war to prove an economic system doesn't work it carries less credibility than if you left it to fail by it's own flaws.

Fail is a very relative term for Nicolas Maduro, Kim Jong Un, Raul Castro et al, socialism is actually quite good, allows them to live like modern day Greek Tyrants.

I don't have the energy to deal with a Western tankie that has absolutely no fucking idea of a particular topic.

Havn't had the time to read the entire thing so far, but is this the most worrying part?

So the most worrying thing at this point seems to be that the perception of corruption may cause the support for the war to take a hit.
Which is a very legit concern, hence the "The “sensitive but unclassified” version of the long-term U.S. plan lays out numerous steps Washington is taking to help Kyiv root out malfeasance and otherwise reform an array of Ukrainian sectors."-part i guess.

Corruption is a very real problem for Ukraine (as has been known from the start), and should be getting stomped out in the harshest ways during wartime.

Love the conclusion from the usual crowd tho: Stop all aid from the west so an even more corrupt regime can take over the place.

Someone even saw someone from Ukraine bidding on a supercar.
Should settle it i guess
This is the most damning thing it says in the article from the OP:
“Perceptions of high-level corruption” the confidential version of the document warns, could “undermine the Ukrainian public’s and foreign leaders’ confidence in the war-time government.”
