ONE Championship, betting thread, One FC

I missed the first 2 rounds, but I assumed Lee would get the decision.

Live betting ONE FC seems tough when compared to UFC. Definitely glad I didn't bet either girl.
Yea the old pride rules in effect. Definitely puts a different spin to betting

Fabricio Andrade
Issa
Balart

the only ones that stand out, need to tape these.

Fairtex imo right now is the best bet. Andrade, Kim, Mclaren, Balart all playable.

Need to research Gasanov a little, those Kim odds look wide to me.

Alex Silva +110, took that

4.72 inches taller and 3.4 inch reach advantage, age 40

Former ONE Strawweight World Champion Alex Silva is one of just a few athletes on the planet to win World Titles in more than one sport. After conquering the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by capturing a Copa de Mundo BJJ World Championship, Silva turned his attention to the cage and went on a stellar run of success to become one of the best strawweights in the world.

If it were not for the adversity he had to overcome in life, Silva might never have accomplished so much. Born several months premature, the Brazilian overcame the odds to survive, but things did not get easier. He had to face the demons of bullying growing up due to his small stature, but luckily he found martial arts, with his first experience coming via Bruce Lee films. Soon he took up a host of different classes, including kung fu and capoeira, to learn how to defend himself.

However, it was not until he was 13 that his life would change forever. Upon seeing for himself the effectiveness of BJJ against larger and stronger opponents, “Little Rock” was hooked and dedicated himself to his new passion. He went on to win numerous tournaments and competitions and reached the very pinnacle of the grappling world. Now a third-degree black belt, the Evolve product has put his submission prowess to devastating effect in ONE Championship and once captured the ONE Strawweight World Title in December 2017.

Silva is fighting a fire hydrant Olympic wrestler who has never been submitted. This is a rough matchup on paper for Silva.

Lea Bivins is an All-American wrestler and multiple time state champion. Purple belt in BJJ. Training since 5, competing since 10. Pankration background. Significant height and reach advantage. Invited to train with the Lees (as in Angela Lee) in Hawaii because they were impressed with her potential.

She missed weight (116.75 lbs.). Still confident she takes it.

Lea Bivins (-155) over Noelle Grandjean $232.50 to win $150.00

I've played Kim and De Andrade just because I think those odds are too wide.

De Andrade is the real deal imo.

Fabricio de Andrade (+155) over John Lineker $50.00 to win $77.60

She seemed mentally broken before she got punched in the solar plexus. I like the little waive-off to her corner. "Okay, I'm done." That's what I get for betting someone with no record.

Down $32.50 after Linne's win. Need de Andrade to put me back in the green.

Gadzi jumping into peoples arms like balki bartokomous

easy money. I really went out on a limb picking the -350

Grandjean is not a world beater by any means but I am assuming you were unaware she was a decorated judoka that competed at a pretty high level?

What was it that made you so confident on Bivins?

Lineker was in a world of trouble. His eye was swollen shut and he was hurt badly to the body.

andrade followed up with another knee to nuts and shattered his cup.

2-1 Andrade. Lineker lucked out. He was getting pieced up

no contest. Was liking that +200

That was pretty awful from Bivins. I've never seen someone quit like that while still standing up straight.
she flat out sucks. I saw her wrestling match where she got mounted. i thought it was bizarre looking at the line but i could not bet wmma with that level of confidence, she also trained at a local gym named after her nick name, the other chick was at tiger muay thai. missed opportunity i wish someone had mentioned her here in this forum and made some argument points, i would have tailed.

Not sure why they didn’t go to the scorecards in the Lineker/Andrade fight

they were passed the midway point in rd 3

I've never heard of any of them but I was intrigued by the wrestler vs. judoka angle. She looks incredibly inexperienced and in no way ready for a major MMA organization. Her dad is her coach and that's rarely a good sign.

She towered over her opponent, trained since she was 5, wrestling and BJJ credentials (IBJJF purple belt, I think?), praise from Angela Lee. I didn't know Grandjean's Judo credentials, but it was clear from her fights she was good at throws. Bought into the hype. I don't think the promoters knew how bad she'd be in reality, either.
