Media Paulo Costa teases move to boxing after impending conclusion of miserable UFC contract

Nah he still has a fight left with them.

I can't see him really leaving. If he does though, good for him. Glad to see there's more options out there for these guys, even though some of them may be slightly degrading. Still, it's a step.

Normal people trying to get a raise: meeting with the boss, explain your reasons for a raise, talk it out.
Fighters in the UFC trying to get a raise: threats and crying over pay on social media.

It's clear that there are a few things that the UFC could do better in their relationship with fighters.

Eh, I dunno. Jake is not that good and hes made sure hes never at a physical disadvantage to anyone he faces. Costa is in his physical prime, is significantly bigger and stronger than Jake and ate shots from Yoel who MMA fighter or not absolutely cracks harder than Jake. If you're struggling that much with a 47 year old Anderson who is physically broken down and was never a big powerful hard hitting guy even in his prime you're probably going to have a much harder time with Costa.
If we're being fair though, Anderson in no way resembled a 47 year old.

He says a lot of ridiculous things because he loves to troll, but the cold hard truth is he is both one of the best middleweights in the world and one of the most entertaining fighters of his generation.

These guys are all grossly underpaid, and we miss out on both important and fun fights because the promoter is keeping over 80% of the money. That should change.
+1

Love Costa's fights and his Twitter, fight lead ups.

UFC is full of stingey pricks

All these fighters that are stuck in limbo or leaving because of contract disputes, the number is concerning. Ngannu next?

dont believe guys who spend their time posting nonsense on social media

its like when Jones was coming for the HW Belt 3 years ago

Maybe find better management that actually looks out for you.

These guys only exist because of the UFC and then they complain about not getting paid like Floyd Mayweather. This guy doesn't even deserve a contract and the only reason he can just jump into boxing and start making money right away is because of the fame and promotion he received from the UFC PR machine. He's a glorified reality star.

Miopic point of view.

The word is "myopic" and you are using it incorrectly.

If Paulo Costa was paid as some simps here wish he was he would cherry pick oponents, sit out for longer than he has now and perform no better. MCgregor gets paid millions and millions and dgaf about fighting contenders or often or defending belts. You people crack me up.

This is a weird opinion but it is common sense the promoter should not keep 80% of the money generated from fights.
