Rarest MMA DVDs you have

Hey guys, remember when there used to be people on eBay selling burned DVD’s of fighters like Fedor, Matt Hughes, Rampage etc ?

I know everyone just gets fight pass and stuff now but it would be awesome to be able to have a place where you could just buy DVD’s of all of Charles “felony” Bennett’s, Masakazu Imanari‘s or Rousimar Palhares‘ fights etc.

I got a bunch of burned stuff (Deep, Shooto, Dream, Rings, Hero’s) from ioffer years ago.
Hey buddy. I do remember those days. I was unable to watch TUF in the beginning & bought the first 5 seasons burned on eBay. Bought a bulk lot of 20 discs with Pancrase on them, too.

Crazy Horse was always a fighter I looked forward to watching.

Streaming has changed things these days for sure.

Guys, guys, guys.

So I mentioned in an earlier post I was waiting on a pair of signed Whitebolts to arrive from Japan (Big Nig & Wandy)….

Well, they’ve arrived….

And they are only a pair of V1’s!!!

Now, they are rare!

Notice how the finger ridges are flat, unlike the later rounded V2’s.

Man!! that's great score. Good angle of the pics and thanks for explaining the first version. I know very little about the gloves, but know a bit more now thanks to you. Cheers!

This thread made me go look for my old MMA collection, managed to find most of my Pride stuff. Also have most UFC events up until 160 ish but no one want's to see those.

The 2003 Grand Prix set is very nice. Folds open to display the discs with images of fighters and two booklets.

You have a nice pride selection, bro. Those are great events. Bet you loved watching them for the first time. I have fond memories of when I first watched them. Appreciate you sharing, buddy. Glad you like the thread. I've learned a lot from people here with different programs & events.

Guys I’m really old compared to most posters on here. I have some terrible quality quad city ultimates, extreme fighting, pancrease, and some random early Russian MMA fights at my parents house on VHS somewhere. I’m a wealth of useless knowledge of MMA as I knew and trained a little with some of the early, lesser known pioneers

k1 UK versions by the looks. I like their different covers. Very nice. Love the IFC. My friend bought them, so I never purchased them, but some classic fighters on those events.

Hey Buddy. Age is no barrier. I'm nearly 50, but just means I've collected a lot of shite over many years & grew up in a great era with fond memories/ Just like you by the sounds.

Never heard of quad city, but you gave me something to investigate. Early russian mma sounds cool. You should find them & keep them safe. Appreciate you sharing with us all. Remember....

Interesting to see Pride FC Whitebolts were £130, $156 back in the day and available online and at events - taken from the 2005 Final Round MW GP program.

I'm not a sentimental collector, so I dumped all of the jewel cases and keep all of my DVDs in leather binders, but my rarest shit would have to be my early Pancrase DVDs. I've got everything from 1993-1995, a few of them bootlegs and few legit Japanese releases. And they've got lots of pre-fight press conference footage and fighter interviews---all in Japanese, of course, with no English subtitles, but still, it's cool seeing Funaki and Suzuki and Takahashi etc. talking to the press, sometimes talking backstage after fights.
