So Ryan Garcia won.....

Perhaps one of the more notable aspects of this fight that tilted it in Ryan's favour was how Devin Haney's punches (while still having that pop) didn't have the capacity to hurt much at all.

Those nasty hooks to the rib were shrugged off easily by Ryan and Haney never looker comfortable when both fighters were infighting with Ryan throwing hard pretty much with impunity.

Great evasive skills by Haney though but he just couldn't make Ryan Garcia really hesitate last night.

I mean...damn, I'm still reeling from the results of this fight because this was truly an unexpected ending.
ryan's power is truly spectacular at 135/140. not that haney's chin is some sort of legend but he's been hit by punchers before and no one has batted him around like that. that left hook is kendall holt-ish. just absurd power in it.

Devin Haney is the biggest fraud in all of boxing. He is going to be doing some ducking. I will be very surprised if he takes the rematch. He will come out this week and say it was the weight advantage
I wouldn't say say "fraud." He's still a championship level fighter. He has some good legit wins. Kambosos, Regis, Loma so on. He's a talented & dedicated kid.

The email belt knock is true. So that was a bit questionable from the start.

And he's clearly not the P4P next Mayweather protégé that many billed him as.
His chin & legs aren't as great as they should be. He's too big for 140 but lacks the power to leave.

So yes, he's a very flawed & potentially overhyped champion. But he has every right to blame the blatant weight cheat or to think things might change if he wasn't fighting a legit welterweight next time.

Be fair. At least the kid didn't quit on us. They made it an entertaining fight for us. It was trending towards unwatchable.

The Kambosos and Regis were great wins. The Loma fight was questionable because many people thought (Youtube lol) that Haney didn't do enough in that fight to solidify himself as an undisputed LW champ & a P4P fighter.

What happens when that lightning fast left hooks lands not just once but multiple times? We know now.

Fight was close enough to go either way. It was a legit win and no robbery. To even win rounds or have a close fight with Loma means you're legit & a champion level fighter.

The same people always crying robbery or having controversial scores for the sake of looking like the most sophisticated guy in the room doesn't negate that Haney won fair and square. Loma was getting beat up early then Haney faded. Loma started too late or didn't figure Haney out fast enough. There were toss up rounds that decided it and could of went either way. Nobody is wrong by awarding a toss up round to either opponent.

A close fight against a future HOF'er champion isn't dismissed by non credible YouTube posters & Shertards because they still don't understand or know the scoring criteria and don't understand what the word subjective means.

True story.... After the Haney Loma fight the biggest cry baby about it around here for how Loma won said :
-He invented his own scoring system for how to score boxing & that the fight must be scored based off his made up scoring criteria that only he knew
-Said he scored the fight live. When he finally posted his scores they were mathematically impossible. Which led to him posting 4- 5 different score cards in multiple threads as a panic attempt to cover his lies.

100% true & verifiable story.

Haney lost a close fight to Loma. Max Kellerman had him losing. I had him losing. Many people respect JCVD as a talented fighter & he had him losing. Paulie Malignaggi had him losing. … Dan Rafael had scored it a draw.

Wow, some dude made a mistake. I guess Loma didn’t get robbed.

No he didn't. Your singled out confirmation bias opinions from random people do not outweigh the official results of a close fight that could of went either way. People's non official or non professional opinion does not negate toss up rounds. It also doesn't change the definition of the word subjective.

It wasn't a mistake. It was an unqualified person who didn't have the credibility to speak on scoring the fight. Then caught in a lie. Which is the case for a ton of children who always cry & wine robbery when their favorite fighter doesn't get the win. Its the forum equivalent of a child having a tantrum.

Loma Stans still remain the worse. He lost lol. Get over it.

Its a classic for sure. Should be taught in every college... Just a beautiful example of how fan scoring is sometimes worse than the corrupt judges. Lol

Kambosos, Regis, Loma so on.

The only reason we know who Kambosos is is because Teo fought like a moron. Prograis was inactive and 35 and wasn't that good anyway. He lost to Loma. So he doesn't really have any good wins.

Nobody cares. Whatever helps you sleep at night. There is no "we." You're limited knowledge and alternative reality is all yours alone bud.
Dam, good to see Loma Stans still salty.

Haney wanted to fight MMA with all the grab & clinch & tackle. His boxing sucked.

The normalization of clinching is as much of a crime against boxing as no grounded knees is to MMA.

Both sports are fundamentally broken because of this (at least in MMA's monopoly promotion). It means that in both sports, fighters are constantly put in positions where they can't actually fight properly.

If a ref is constantly involved in the fight itself, the way refs are in boxing as they break up clinches every 5 seconds, you've severely fucked up your combat ruleset/implementation of the ruleset and you need to change it.

Not sure if you want more clinching or less clinching in boxing as your post clearly implies both...

I read on various boxing pages (from social media, no official source) that Ryan placed a bet on 2 million on himself and won 12 million.
Did the odds change when his antics got worse and worse? What a genius he is if that's the case.
Like I wrote, it could be fake, but would be awesome if it isn't.
