why they gotta make Ngannou's body look cooler? the veins, scars,

Also the whole poster/logo for HW boxing event is great; is that supposed to be an atari or sega genesis cartridge? plus the corny name.

ACA card is banging this weekend too. Far better than the PFL one overall.

I'm intending on catching UFC, a few of the PFL fights (very excited for Baki Vs Doumbe and Lazy King Vs Grant), ACA, the LFA main card, the CFFC main event, couple of fights on the RCC card (glory to Boris Medvedev) and a couple of fights on the EFC card

Incredible, truly.
Now we don't have to pick one, but if I had to.. It's between Glory and UFC. I get a really nostalgic feeling from Glory, I watched alot of K-1, mostly Max tournaments live.. There is something very special about it. 3 fights in one night, leg-kicks my god.. It seperates the men from the boys.
But the UFC has a really good card. I have access to it aswell so that one im watching, not live but a few hours later without checking the results.
I don't know when fight fans had a week like this, as said might be the greatest week ever, but I don't remember the old days, for me, like 15-20 years ago there was probably Pride, K-1 and UFC at the same weekend sometimes 😁

Can't believe we're getting another heavyweight GP. How long has it been? 2012?
That Francis vs Joshua promo video is one of the best ever done in combat sports.
The UFC's marketing materials are very formulaic.
Looking forward to the Lazy King and Doumbe fights from PFL.
299 has some banger fights. It's going to be a good week

A true just bleed connoisseur

Well Sherbro's, there's A LOT going on this week ... several amazing combat sports events.
I figured it might be difficult to get a hold of such a busy fight-schedule, so lean back, and let me walk you through the fantastic fightweek that's in front of us!

The most noteworthy events in chronological order:

PFL Paris: Cédric Doumbé vs Baki

The Professional Fighters League returns to Paris and makes its debut at the Accor Arena. Unbeaten French star and the former GLORY Welterweight champion Cédric ‘The Best’ Doumbé (5-0, 5 KO/TKO) will headline against the undefeated Judo-specialist Baissangour "Baki" Chamsoudinov (8-0, 3 KO/TKO) in an all-French superstar matchup.
In the co-main event, former Ares FC double-champ "Lazy King" Abdoul Abdouraguimov will take on British veteran Jack Grant.

The event takes place on Thursday March 7 and starts at 11am ET / 8am PT / 17:00 CET (main-card is FREE to watch in the USA).

Boxing "Knockout Chaos": Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou

Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou are set to headline the “Knockout Chaos” Boxing-event set to go down at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. The weight of expectation is heavy on the former UFC Heavyweight champion his shoulders following an exemplary showcase against Tyson Fury in his maiden boxing assignment in December 2023. Meanwhile, the former WBO, IBF and WBA Boxing-Heavyweight champion "AJ" looks to win his fourth straight contest to set up a potential Undisputed title-fight against the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vsTyson Fury, which goes down on May 18.
Also on the card are two spectacular Heavyweight-bangers between Zhilei Zhang & Joseph Parker and Justis Huni & Kevin Lerena, and much more action.

The event takes place on Friday March 8 and starts at 11am ET / 8am PT / 17:00 CET.

GLORY Heavyweight Grand Prix

This Saturday, GLORY Kickboxing will organize (and reintroduce) the historic 8-man one-night Heavyweight Grand Prix, with the likes of “King of Kickboxing” Rico Verhoeven, Tariq "Cookie" Osaro, Bahram Rajabzadeh, Levi Rigters, and more. The winner will walk away with $500,000 and the prestigious GP Trophy, just like in the good old K-1 days.
The event takes place at the GelreDome football stadium in Arnhem, the Netherlands, and also features two exciting title fights. Donegi Abena will look to unify his Light-heayweight championship against Interim champion Tarik Khbabez, and Tyjani Beztati will try to defend his Lightweight title for the fifth time, when he takes on number-1-contender and former ONE Championship standout Enriko Kehl.

The event takes place on Saturday March 9 and starts at 12pm ET / 9am PT / 18:00 CET.

UFC 299: Sean O'Malley vs Marlon Vera

Allright, I think this one doesn't need a write-up, lol :)
Truly amazing event. Some would argue that its even better than UFC 300, and I can't wait to find out this weekend!
On Saturday I will attend the GLORY Heavyweight Grand Prix with my big and little brother, and when we get home UFC 299 should just be getting underway, so that will be one hell of a night (IF I can stay awake though, lol, but I guess I will. And if so, I will see you'all in the PBP to catch the violence live).

The event takes place on Saturday March 9 on 6pm ET / 3pm ET / 00:00 CET (Sunday).

There's no PBP-Thread yet, but I expect @Jackonfire to be on it, like always ;)

What a time to be a fightfan

Gonna be a crazy week sir lol

I will try to watch them all. Trying to go through Glory and UFC pretty much back to back is gonna be quite the endurance test though. Probably 12+ hours straight of fights.

Its a shame kickboxing isnt more popular. Glory one night HW tournament with Rico in it but that little interest compared to even the PFL Europe show.

Definitely will be watching all of UFC 299, don't have interest in watching the entire PFL & boxing cards but I definitely will tune in for the Doumbe/Baki fight + Zhang/Parker & Joshua/Ngannou. :D

Yessir lol
Gonna try and watch 299 and Frank/Joshua on my phone though.
Some reason I’ll be taking a very long shit break during the main events.

curiosity killing me, are you some sort of a contractor or was just able to get a bunch of OT on the weekend?

Yan vs Yadong is here as well, ¿who you all got?

Please win Yan even though i don't dislike Yadong

Boxing and the UFC card in real time. Glory and PFL when I get some free time after that.
Skipping that ONE wmma card.

Edit:
I am actually watching the PFL card right now. Nice.

Private contractor. Amazing pay, crazy irregular hours that are non negotiable for this current job unfortunately.

Interesting fights on the ACA card?
I know Kirill Kornilov and Bibert Tumenov have a fight lined up this weekend.

Two things.

1. Yes, you are correct. I have been busy at work so I wasn't aware that all of this coincide in the same week. This is definitely a truly awesome fight week with smaller orgs that put on decent fights and the UFC not shitting the bed with their 3/10 type of cards they usually do even if it's a PPV.

2. You are a god damn hero for adding the CET start time. Looks like I might try and catch Ngannou vs Joshua live.

Quality post mate and some amazing fights coming up. I need to get my head out of my arse and start watching Glory more regularly.

Also can you imagine Danas reaction if Ngannou knocks AJ out cold? <Insert hospital photo of him here>
